Tropical Wings Zoo

Just the right size zoo. Big enough to enjoy a good few hours, but small enough to see it all. Butterflies are amazing- it’s lovely and warm in there too. Went on a quiet weekday which made it all very easy as I can imagine school holidays etc being hectic. Plenty of indoor stuff for the winter visits plus soft play.

Manageable well maintained zoo with mostly small but plenty of interesting animals. Lots of useful information signs everywhere. Quite a few kids activities throughout the zoo. Friendly staff. Cafe is near the entrance, so bear in mind if you plan a break.

Love bringing my son here. The butterfly house is amazing and it is a great day out. The cafe serves a good cup of tea, but shame you have to leave to get in there (but you can go back in through the entrance if you want to walk around the zoo again). There's also a soft play area for the kids, which is great.

Had a fun day there ;) The butterfly sanctuary is truly MAGICAL. I even got to pet a kangaroo, a goat and a pig 😂
There are plenty of parking spaces, so that is not an issue. Staff members are polite and friendly, the area is quite clean. There is a hot-dog and ice cream stand, in case you didn't bring food with you, prices are quite reasonable. I enjoyed the experience!

I had such an amazing time here. The staff are brilliant and the talks we watched were very informative.
The tropical area was great...I really enjoyed having the butterflies flying around and feeding the koi. It was also really interesting to see the bananas growing.
We ate at Cafe and the food was lovely
I really enjoyed being able to brush and feed the goats.

Such a lovely place! It's a small zoo, but we could spend ages in the Butterfly House alone. There are nice places to have a picnic and the cafe is enough for people who don't bring food in my opinion. The animals are well cared for and the staff are all lovely. Nice little playground for the kids to let off some steam in, while you sit and have a coffee or an ice cream too. We just love Tropical Wings!

Great day out, wonderful butterfly rooms and some great animals too. The play areas are very good to.

Nice place to take the little ones kids loved the meerkats we visit once a year and has really changed since the last time we went only reason 4 stars is there was no birds to view as they had issue with aviary flu. So should of discounted the price or gave a free tea and coffee

It's a nice little zoo for a spring day out and a picknick and has lovely animals. Would be nice to have more food options for people who don't want to bring food. And a food served in the play area would be great.
