It is a magnificent day to be sitting in our leafy little garden with friends. Have a lovely Saturday all!

We welcome in to the store one of the finest rosé wines we've tasted in a long while. Delicate peach and wild strawberries, with a texture of liquid gold, and a pure, sophisticated finish. This gorgeous potion is wrapped in an elegant frosted-white glass bottle, with a glass stopper; perfect for those summer infusions and cordials. Chateau Puech-Haut, Prestige Rosé, from Saint-Drézéry in France: £19.45.

This Tuesday is the date of our yearly spring clean here at The Troubadour. So that we can keep our lovely customers fed and watered, we have put a few tables in the wine shop. Expect a tasty, healthful salad bar, and delicious, revivifying, freshly-squeezed orange juice.

Let's face it folks, your mother's really no fool, and doesn't want to be condescended to. So forget about the fluffy pink slippers and lacy knickers. Your mother understands quality, and she wants something to match her elevated tastes. Well, here it is: Laurent Lequart Vintage 2000 Champagne. It's a sublimely complex wine, with layers of honey and brioche, perfect for breakfast in bed; from one of the best ever vintages in the Champagne region. At just £37.45 you can't afford to let her down.

It's here, the Almadi Valpolicella Ripasso. This is one of the very few 10/10 scoring wines from our many supplier tastings. At just £15.95 it's quite possibly the best value wine in the store.
