Trowbridge Basketball League (TBL) provides structured games on a weekly basis to players of mixed ages and abilities. Our season consists of semi-competitive games, an All-Star type break and mini play-offs at the end of the season in which four best teams compete for the bragging rights of the best local team.

The league was founded by Vince Marriott in the summer of 2014, after it was no longer possible to sustain a team in WEBBA and to create a more inclusive environment for players in the local area. It was a bittersweet change, as the (then) club had two teams in WEBBA at the peak of its popularity so it was a clear sign that competitive basketball in Trowbridge has seen better days. However, it allowed players of less confidence and ability to play regularly and thus the league proved to be far more inclusive and popular.

In January 2017 the league experienced yet another restructuring change to become officially known as the TBL and it only continues to improve. Our aim for the future is to provide ample playing and development opportunities in Bath and Wiltshire areas at affordable rates, whilst maintaining a competitive league.
