The Make A Difference Trust brings together the British Entertainment community and its audiences to raise funds to support people living with HIV and AIDS, and those in the entertainment industry facing hardship as a result of a long-term medical condition. In particular the Trust supports people unable to work due to their chronic ill health, as well as working to support those who have now managed to stabilize their health and are looking to get back to work.

The Make A Difference Trust also believes strongly in education and a number of projects such as ARTS4CHANGE look at using art, music, drama, dance and prose to tackle issues of HIV awareness and social responsibility. Internationally the Trust supports a number of arts based programs in Southern Africa with the largest of these in South Africa, currently supporting more than 1, 000 children orphaned by HIV and AIDS to receive a basic education, nutritious food, counselling and a place of safety.
Telegraph hill website

The Telegraph Hill Centre is a financially independant, community run centre that serves as the heart and soul of the surrounding area.
The Telegraph Hill Centre is an amazing community space used for everything from pilates to kick boxing, art classes to lunch clubs. It can be a party venue, a wedding reception, a theatre space, an art gallery, a youth club. It also houses some artists’ studios, the Hill Station and Askes’ Sixth Form Common Room and a couple of flats… and once a year helps to host an amazing festival.
Opened in 1972 Telegraph Hill Centre was born out of the desire of St Catherine’s church to provide the community with a flexible space that could be used by everyone. In 1987 Lewisham Council cut its support completely. From then on the Centre has sustained itself through rental income. The financial independence that Telegraph Hill Centre enjoys makes it a unique venue. The Centre is not vulnerable to cuts, but it is in constant need of ensuring that its finances are secure so that the Centre can be well-maintained and continue to be developed and improved .
