Welcome to Turtle Swim Academy - we are a local Swim school based in Knaresborough covering Harrogate, York and Leeds areas delivering swimming lessons for little ones from 3. 5 years to 7 years.
All of our classes are delivered in lovely warm pools and we have a 4: 1 teach ratio per class. Our classes are delivered under the STA International Swim Scheme with Swim level and distance awards given on achievement.
Our classes are very relaxed and we very much take an holistic approach to teaching the little ones from the relevant water safety and self rescue skills to encouraging independence with and without aides and then progression onto solo swimming and stroke technique, but most importantly at their own pace. Our teachers are fully trained with either ASA Level 2 or STA Level 2 and in addition Baby & Preschool Level 2 and full RLSS National Lifeguard qualifications.
We have been currently delivering classes for the past 12 months at Henshaws College on a Saturday morning in Harrogate, Archbishop Holgate School, on a Saturday afternoon York and Novotel on a Tuesday morning and we will be adding new venues, days and times from September 2015.
We also deliver specialist 1: 1 classes for children who require more focused teaching with water confidence and /or specific stroke technique.
