Wow, Dave & I have eaten out many time, nothing comes close to the food, the service & especially the chef Paulo . Outstanding, awesome, fabulous!!

What a great dining experience. Can't recommend highly enough. Paolo goes further than the extra mile to ensure you experience a culinary journey.

Having said that we had to have the national pudding of Portugal ( pastel de nata)

We were recommended Twelve by very discerning friends! We, a couple of young 60 somethings, went last night for my birthday. As it was a Monday, it was very quiet, only 3 couples but the background music was fabulous, soft and jazzy! Paolo, the owner and chef, was most friendly and hospitable. He's Portuguese and his food is gorgeous! We had complimentary drinks with smoked ham cut off the bone whilst sitting at the bar prior to dinner. Then after dinner, complimentary Portuguese dessert wine and the most delicious custard tartlets which apparently are a speciality of Portugal and very well known (can't remember their name!). All in all a lovely birthday treat and will definitely go again. Thoroughly recommend!

We had the pleasure of going to this lovely restaurant for lunch today. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We were offered more pate, bread and fries which were not needed as we were full after 2 courses. Got to sample red and white port which was a nice touch. Absolutely nothing would be too much trouble for the owner as he is very passionate about his restaurant and it shows. Will definitely be returning for a taster menu soon. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is superb. The food is amazing, possibly the best flavours I have ever tasted. The owner/chef is lovely and engaging. He'll come over and chat to you and even tweak things with the food if you want. Highly recommended.

Food is cooked to order and presented in a way that it looks beautiful no matter how simple or complex and tastes so fresh and delicious. Just got back from a wonderful lunch at Twelve. There was a good selection of choices on the lunch time menu. My husband chose the chicken Peri peri which he felt was the best he had ever eaten. I had a delicious fig and goats cheese tart. For main my husband chose the steak ciabatta with onions and melted cheese and chips. I had the pork medallions with champ and a cider/apple sauce. We were given complimentary potato skins with garlic mayonnaise to nibble while we waited for our starter. We were accorded a warm welcome and immediately brought water and a glass of prosecco which was part of our lunch deal. We finished with coffee and a pasteis de nata. We have booked to return again as we enjoyed it so much.

Fantastic little restaurant tucked away on Princess Street - food is absolutely devine. Chef Paulo is such a larger than life character, nothing is too much for him. Service is outstanding. Will definitely be eating there again.

Excellent little place , we have been here twice now we love it that much. The food service & atmosphere is perfect. Pablo is very nice & always happy to assist with any desires you may want . Food was amazing & we had a mixture of everything on the taster menu which was fab as we had a child with us who was a bit fussy pablo made chicken nuggets & chicken burger for him , he loved everything he made. Will definitely see you soon pablo again for another night of food & a tipple of your little port shots

It's the first time we have tried 12 and have to say it was a really nice experience ,the chef was a top guy and you can tell he has passion for food ,the food it's self was great ,taste,presentation etc,Pity we tried at lunchtime as would have liked it to have been busier to feel the atmosphere ,however it is definatley recommend and we will be going back
