A fantastic zoo not what I expected at all. Lots of new developments are coming in future months and an excellent experience. Avoid weekends as it can get very very busy. Would recommend it to families.

Good zoo. Wide animal selection. All the big apes. Plenty of monkeys, some of which were cheeky. We paid to feed the giraffes, which was really fun. The keeper was a friendly fella and knew his stuff. I even had a decent bowl of pasta in the restaurant, which has a glass wall into the snow leopard enclosure. A fine day out.

Great zoo! Went for an experience with the otters. Keepers very knowledgeable and caring. It was also halloween on the day which was great for the kids with lots of interactions. The membership is great value for money which gives you access to other zoos around the country.

Both of us thought the entrance fee was expensive for non peak times when there was lots of builders on site most enclosures were empty or overgrown. We really enjoyed the gibbon enclosure newly built, leopards, giraffes and the monkeys. We got great service at explorer coffee shop and we think the staff need music inside to help with there homemade cakes and they're welcoming smiles.

Twycross zoo is by far one of the best zoo's myself and my family have been to. My favourite has got to be the elephants and the giraffes. All the animals seemed really happy in their enclosures and it was lovely to see that they had plenty of room to run about and play. I would 100% recommend this zoo to anyone.

Lovely place. Very clean and well kept. Many different types of animals. Easy viewing. Very busy since we went two days in the school holidays. So full of screaming children scaring the animals away at some areas. Please parents control them better. And if they are too young to behave don't take them until they learn to respect others and nature. OK rant over. Enjoy your time here, we did.

We arrived at the park today after an hours journey and within half an hour my husband was taken poorly and we had to leave. Id used a family ticket that we'd had at Christmas in an animal adoption pack to take the children for a family day out, I nipped in to guest services on the off chance to ask about our tickets as we'd only been as far as the gibbons before he was really ill. The lady in there "Emma" was amazing and sorted us out so that the children's Christmas present wasn't wasted and we can all return for the full day when daddy is better. Great service twycross !

Arrived at 10 am on a beautiful sunny summers day with wife and grandson. Had to leave at 3.30m to pick up our son but had such a great day, we just didn't want to leave. Our grandson (just turned 1 year old) loved all the animals especially the gorillas.... had a meal in the fish bar but looking at the weather, we should have joined the hoards making use of the weather and had a picnic outside on the many grassed areas. Can't wait to bring our grandson in a years time when he'll be a year older and appreciate the animals even more.

Lovely place, amazing animals and great staff. We have annual membership and our children love the place too. Great range of animals and passionate staff who can't do enough for you . Costa coffee, restaurant and fish and chip shop. Large gift shop and large childrens soft play. Outdoor children's park and lots of open space to run around. Parakeet feeding, walk through goats enclosure, walk through butterfly house.

Good variety. Keeps improving. Great facilities for kids. Thumbs up.

Great little zoo where you can get close to the animals. The kids loved the outdoor splash area, so go prepared with towels and a change of clothes!

An excellent little zoo.

We visited this as a family (2 adults 2 kids), children are 12 and 7.

An amazing array of monkeys are available to see including all 4 great ape species - the only zoo in the UK to have this.

Zoo is open & spacious, with easy to view enclosures - more immediately accessible than many other zoos.

Lovely visitor centre and cafe/food area. There is also a big kids indoor soft play although this is an extra charge of £4.50max.

If your a Chester zoo member like we are then you get in once for free! Brilliant.

The new exhibits are great but it does mean that some of the older exhibits look tired in comparison. Visited on a cold day mid week as part of a corporate event and the place was virtually empty. Great for getting to see everything in relative peace and quiet. The snow leopards are a must see.
