Over 14, 000 people every year are treated for cancer at University College Hospital, and this number is rising annually. Our patients come from across the UK though mostly within North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
University College Hospital aims to ensure that all people with cancer, their families and carers receive a world-class service from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. To achieve this aim and to support our patients, we have created the University College Hospital Cancer Fund which assists with important areas of work above and beyond what the NHS is able to provide.

Join us at the UCLH Cancer Centre for an afternoon of live music with our very own pianist, Andrew Gaylor. The event starts at 2pm and will take place on the ground floor where he will be playing few of his favourite classical compositions. We look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks to everyone who has already reserved their place at our first ever Christmas Concert - and for leaving such lovely messages!
Just over two weeks until our inaugural Christmas Concert! Join us on Tues 5th Dec for a wonderful night of performances from our talented patients, staff and volunteer musicians, with proceeds used to sponsor live music at the hospital throughout next year.
Although this is the first Christmas Concert the UCH Cancer Fund has ever held, we are actually reviving a much older tradition previously held by the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Fund, who held an annual concert each December, between 1891 and 1964.
Our programme will draw inspiration from these original Middlesex concerts, with a selection of music and readings taken from throughout the original concert’s lifespan. Starting in the late Victorian era, we'll enjoy some classic... carols before we begin moving through the years right up to the swinging sixties.
Performances come courtesy of Concordia music, the UCLH staff choir, UCL Jazz Society and the RUMS A Cappella choirs. There are even a few cameos from some of our more talented patients!
Doors open at 6:30pm, when guests are invited to join us for a mulled wine and mince pie reception (non alcoholic options also available) and then at 7:30pm we'll take our seats for the main event. For tickets, get in otuch with owain.rees@nhs.net (£20 suggested donation, concessions available).
