How do we learn on a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and other questions?
Eileen Kennedy is a Senior Research Associate with the Centre for Global Higher Education (CGHE) where her research centres on scaling up practice in online and blended learning, using Design Based Research to create and evaluate digital solutions to teaching problems.
In addition to her research for CGHE, Eileen is also a Senior Research Associate with the RELIEF centre where she is investigating the... potential of scaling up online learning to create inclusive prosperity in the context of mass displacement.
Eileen has been interviewing MOOC participants around the world about how they make sense of their online learning experience, which could contribute to a new, learner-centred approach to evaluating MOOCs. In this talk, Eileen will share some of the early results from this research and explore what else we need to know about MOOCs to assess their potential to transform global higher education.
Date: 7th February, 2018 (Wednesday) Time: 5:00-6:30 Venue: Room 731, 20 Bedford Way, Bloomsbury, London WC1H 0AL
