Welcome to the Ethics & Business Society of UCL, In this society, our goal is to foster a UCL community interested in developing the ethical aspect of the Tech sector. During the past 30 years, technologies have been growing exponentially. They have been implemented in almost every sector, revolutionizing our lives. The use of AI and Robotics makes our daily lives easier thanks to machine learning and the collection of data. However, ethical limits to these processes must be set to preserve our integrity and individual rights. The Ethics & Business society strives to define these limits, to reconcile the growth of innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and many more with ethical and moral values. Our goal is to help students further their knowledge and awareness of those issues. WHAT DO WE DO FOR YOU? o Weekly newsletter: we aim to create a weekly newsletter to inform people on ethical advancements, give an overview of current ethical problems, and voice how companies are implementing new strategies to preserve their customers' integrity. o Writing Research Papers: we will aim to analyze the latest technological news, develop ethical recommendations, and produce a final research paper. o Roundtables sessions with partner firms and experts: we will host panel discussions and debates with experts to increase members' network and knowledge on this sector. o Interviews and Speakers events: The society will also host a variety of events including meetings with senior executives and key opinion leaders, face to face interviews, debates, and reunions. o Socials and Networking: The society will host social events for members of the society where we can have drinks while discussing interesting news.
