Welcome to UCL Law for All, making a career in the law accessible for all UCL students.
Until recently, and perhaps paradoxically for a leading institution with radical claims, UCL had no law society open to the entire student population.
Out of UCL's 39, 000 strong student population, less than 5% study within the UCL Faculty of Laws. UCL Law for All seeks to address the needs of the 95% through a range of academic and social events, information about routes into the legal professions, work experience opportunities, and most importantly, our working relationships with law firms.
We hope you will join us for the year ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of LfA this year!
We have had an incredible year and it has been extremely rewarding to see many of our members go on to secure vacation schemes, training contracts and further study opportunities. We have really enjoyed meeting you all at our events, through the buddy system, and via the CV clinic.
We hope you enjoyed the events that we hosted this year. (If not, at least we kept you all well-nourished with our unlimited supply of M&...S sandwiches and Sainsbury's wine.) The new committee of 2019-20 looks forward to seeing you again in September for another great year!
From everyone on the current LfA committee, we wish you the best of luck with your exams and essays, and a wonderful Easter and summer holiday!

We are proud to announce the teams competing in tomorrow's Law for All Mooting Competition!
- SHAUN MATOS and OMAR SABBAGH... - NOAH GRISENTHWAITE and YE-SHEEN KIM - ROB MITCHELL and ASLAM ISLAM - DYLAN KAWENDE AND ANTONIO BEATRICE
The teams will debate three motions, and the competition will be judged by real barristers. Come along to the Moot Court in Bentham House at 6:30pm tomorrow to watch the moot. All are welcome! Free food and drinks will be provided.

Why should you run for PRESIDENT? Dylan’s experience this year…
What do you enjoy about your role? - Having a positive impact on the aspirations of fellow students. I made three promises to our members during my campaign speech in March 2018. (1) Redefine boundaries. (2) Reward proactivity. (3) Drive innovation. Thanks to my committee and I, we have achieved all three.
... Favourite moment? - Receiving a message from one of my LfA buddies to say that she was grateful for my advice and for the LfA events as both helped her to secure a TC at Freshfields.
Most challenging moment? - Organising events while balancing my Cambridge Law application in Term 1. I relied on the enthusiasm and talent of my exceptional committee to manage the workload.

Considering running for TREASURER? Evelina’s most memorable moments from the year!
What do you enjoy about your role? - I enjoyed being involved in all the steps of the event organisation as well as overseeing the budget for the society.
... Favourite moment? - The best moment for me was being able to organise the first Boat Ball. There was a lot of work that had to be put into it, from creating a balance sheet forecast to discussing the health and safety of our members with the SU.
Most challenging moment? - It's difficult to budget for a society that has weekly events because there can be many unexpected costs. But each event was a learning experience and by term 2 most things were predictable. The most challenging moment was having to budget for our events without seeing our accounts for the whole of term one due to some technical issues in the SU offices.
