ASC is a organisation of Seventh day Adventist Student Societies within the territory of the North England Conference of SDA

Adventist Students on Campus is a Christian society which recognises that spiritual welfare encompases more than just reading the Bible. Therefore we aim to take a holistic approach to catering needs of students by having events which specifically target the spiritual, social and practical needs of UCLan students who may not have a Seventh-Day Adventist background. The 'Seventh-Day' in our name is used because we worship on the seventh day of the week or the 'Sabbath' (the time period from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday). We aim to engage students in thought provoking discussions and provide practical programmes that will benefit students in areas such as health and education. Through the medium of community projects we would also like to help members gain an experience of making positive impact in and around Preston. Adventists believe everyone has the potential to accept God's free gift of salvation and choose Him as their personal Saviour irrespective of race, culture or background.
As a group we aim to provide our members with activities such as:
-Weekly Bible studies
-Guest speakers
-Discussions on key questions those without a faith may have
-Skype prayer meetings and brayer breakfasts
-An opportunity to experience the Sabbath
-Gospel concerts

We aim to have shared the love of Jesus with our fellow students by allowing them to experience Christ in different ways. We would like to nurture personal growth and create a positive environment where students feel supported. Throughout the year we aim to establish consistent weekly meetings and increase our presence on campus by having events which are open to other students.
