University of Central Lancashire opened its Burnley campus in September 2009 to provide University education to the Pennine and East Lancashire area for the first time. It was officially opened on 22nd November 2010 by Sir Alan Langlands, Chief Executive of HEFCE. The £85 million iconic campus is a unique collaboration between UCLan and Burnley College providing state-of-the-art facilities to maximise our students’ potential.

On campus you will find a welcoming atmosphere, where a range of diverse and stimulating courses blend theory and application in order to meet the challenges of the modern world.
The shared campus provides many new innovative courses with embedded career planning, employability skills and entrepreneurship option modules.

The campus is located in the centre of Burnley, about a ten minute walk from the main shopping area. Burnley is currently benefiting from major regeneration investments which blend Burnley’s historic past with a modern future.

The Burnley Campus is situated on major bus routes and buses to Preston, Blackburn and Manchester run regularly. The nearest railway station (Burnley Central) is a few minutes’ walk away and can be seen from the Campus. Burnley Barracks and Burnley Manchester Road train stations are also within a ten minute walk.

By car the Campus is two minutes from junction 11 of the M65 or five minutes from junction 10.
