Uk Solitaire Du Figaro Stopover - Torbay, 17Th - 21St June 2015

An international sporting event for the whole family to enjoy, coming to Torquay Harbour between 17th - 21st June 2015.

An international sailing race known as the unofficial championships of solo offshore sailing, the Solitaire du Figaro - Eric Bompard Cachemire brings 40 world-class offshore racers and yachts to the pontoons of Torquay Harbour, and a bustling race village and entertainments programme to Beacon Quay, Torquay.

With food markets, live music, try sailing experiences, cooking demos, a race village bar and picnic area, fireworks, children's entertainment and racing in the Bay, there is so much to do and see for all the family.

Torbay is one of five Solitaire du Figaro - Eric Bompard Cachemire host ports for 2015 and competitors will have already raced 1585 miles solo by the time they reach Berry Head. Join the world-class fleet in the free Solitaire race village between the 17th and 21st June to enjoy the activities and to meet the stars of solo sailing before they set off on their final 600 mile race on Sunday 21st June.
