About Ultimately Eco Cleaning

UltimatelyECO Ltd was founded as an environmentally friendly and ethical company. Our environmental policy is central to our business.

Ultimately Eco Cleaning Description

Why Ultimately Eco Cleaning?
We offer healthy, ethical and green cleaning services. We clean homes and offices in London. Many of us worry that switching to environmentally friendly chemical or non-chemical methods of cleaning will reduce the quality of hygiene. We can demonstrate that there are simple, inexpensive and effective materials and ways to sustain a hygienic and sparkly clean home or office, without costing the planet.
We use only green cleaning methods and product.

After a long winter, it's time for spring-cleaning. Unfortunately, the ever-expanding arsenal of home cleaning products now includes several dangerous weapons, loaded with strong, artificial colors and fragrances and harsh cleansing agents like bleach, ammonia and acids. These chemicals can produce indoor air pollution by off-gassing toxic fumes that can irritate eyes and lungs. (Children and pets are most at risk.) Many cleaners also contain unnecessary antibacterial agents (pesticides, technically), that can actually make bacteria stronger, and more resistant to antibacterial drugs.
And commercial cleansers cost a lot. So make your own! Even the biggest messes and toughest stains can be attacked effectively with baking soda, borax, lemon juice and other simple ingredients.

On the healthy subject of VITAMIN D: remember it is a minimum of 5000IU RDA, not 400IU…. Changing the VIT D paradigm…. is not a new thing, but since I occasionally check the labels of my vitamins - just in case I have missed something the last time lead me to finding this research acknowledgement at the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/176615 65 Where is said 6400IU of VITAMIN D orally is the amount that guarant...ees that your infant baby receives a good level of antirahitic vitamin d concentrations only from breast milk. Additionally (and from experience) I can confirm that taking 5000IU of Vit D supports a very healthy both physically and mentally life because of all the goodness that this precious substance actually bring us; very loooooong time ago - we used to get healthy levels mostly by spending a lot of time outside in the sun! oh and BTW - there is a study about sun exposure vs non sun exposure - the risk of cancer is the same (because of the lack of vitamin D - some might argue, but never the less - sun is better than no sun… the risks of cancer are the same!)

Together with our favourite clients - HUB Islington, King's Cross and Westminster we are all going carbon neutral! As reported by Hub Islington's Ali here is how we did it: http://islington.the-hub.net/…/our-clea ners-cleaning-up-the…

Stop Eating Out and spending your money on lunch when you can make something at home just as good !!!
Cost Savings: Hundreds, if not thousands
Perhaps the most famous money-saving tip of all is to brown-bag your lunch, rather than eat out. And for good reason. The typical UK family spend £624.00 per person on meals outside the home — whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, if you decide to be a cheapskate and be a family that commits to eating at home and take food to work ...can save £2000 and eat just as well without the cost of dumping rubbish and filling the pockets of food outlets.
Cooking at home is also a great first step — maybe the best — toward going green. By making your own food, you'll pay attention to the ingredients you use, how they were grown and how nutritious and wholesome they are. It's like a gateway drug: Soon you'll be considering whether your food is organic, how locally itw was grown, whether it's in season and the conditions of workers on the farms where it was grown.... The kind of things you rarely think about when salivating over a four-star menu, let alone swinging through the drive-through for a McMuffin.

The combination of the this little gem and the fresh air and sunshine is unbeatable . Hang dry your laundry. Drying your clothes in an electric or gas dryer isn’t just hard on your clothes; it’s also hard on the environment. Don’t stop with natural laundry detergent. Stay green every step of the way and install a clothesline in your backyard ,I know its a bit of a long shot in the UK but hey its worth the try. If space (or aesthetics) is an issue get your drying rack outside . Weather permitting, line-dry your clothes outside to reduce pollution, cut your energy bill, get more exercise, enjoy the sunshine, and extend the life of your clothes. Plus, they’ll smell like a clean breeze.

GREEN TIP
It's good to b(eco)me steamed.
When cooking on the stovetop, especially when bringing water to a boil, put lids on pots and pans. Lids increase cooking efficiency by 14%. And old, warped pots and pans waste energy. Buy a new pan and use two-thirds the amount of energy. Also, match the utensil to the job: use pots and pans that fit the size of the stove's burner to save energy. If you put a 6-inch pan on an 8-inch burner, about 40% of the cooktop's energy dissipates... into the air.
BARE FACTS & STATS: If just 1% of the population covered pots when cooking, it could save the country billions of kilowatts a day. And the manufacturing process of stainless steel and ceramic pots and pans is less harsh on the environment. They're more expensive, but they last longer.

GREEN TIP OF THE DAY
It's good to b(eco)me a light-weight.
If every household in the UK replaced incandescent bulbs with fluorescent bulbs in just one room in their home, the nation would save more than 800 billion kilwatts of energy and keep 1 trillion pounds of greenhouse gases out of the air. It would be like taking 8 million traffic-polluting cars off the road.
... COST BENEFIT: Florescent bulbs are more expensive, but they last 10 times longer. Lighting your home accounts for about 17% of the average household's energy bill. You could save £19.40 to £38.80 on your energy bill over time per light bulb.
BARE FACTS & STATS: Generating electricity is the single largest source of industrial carbon dioxide emissions in the United States at 34.9%. Fluorescent bulbs use 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs.

Entering the Waterways
Nitrogen, phosphorus and ammonia are dangerous water contaminants in large quantities. They are rinsed down drains and flushed down toilets as families clean the house. Most pollutants are removed from the water by the waste treatment facilities before the water is returned to the rivers, streams, lakes and other waterways. However, those three household cleaning chemicals are not removed by waste treatment processes. Instead, they enter the waterways and build up, causing an accelerated growth of some types of plant life.
So here is our environmentally friendly option by Method which you can purchase in our store :)
