It’s been a busy few weeks for me going back to where it all started and mounting medals for remembrance, but we’ve still found time to get some dog kit made for you guys.

So over the last week we have been asked a common question........ what makes our kit stand out?? Apart from the obvious physical features which I’ll touch on later, the biggest factor is our experience. UMK9 Tactical and UK Canine Ltd have something not many companies have...... we have extensive dog experience, both in the product testing and in the manufacturing side. Over the last 2 years we have built kit, tested it rigorously, re-evaluated if it hasn’t worked and came... up with solutions to the problems, bringing us to where we are today and the kit that you see. Our kit has been tested by military, police and various other services.
The materials we use are the best we can find, from the material itself, the webbing and the hardware. We don’t cut corners to reduce cost. All our harnesses are individually made so every care and attention to detail is taken to ensure we deliver the best quality products.
The physical differences. As many of you may have seen we have strayed away from the “norm” in some respects. Adjustment system- all to often we have dogs who when you fit a harness it fits the belly well but not the chest or visa verse and most harnesses available only give you limited adjustment and sometimes you end up securing it with tape. We have developed a roll back system which allows for greater adjustment and no requirement for tape using the Velcro one wrap. D ring- we have replaced the standard metal ring with a webb version. As harnesses aren’t continuously worn for long periods it’s a quick and easy method. This has been tested on Mali’s and GSDs with great results. 3D spacer mesh- the underside of all our harnesses use this mesh system, allowing air flow to circulate and help cool the dog when it’s working.
Dog leads- with most working dog leads they have a metal ring through the handle....... hands up who’s gone to give their dog a tap with the lead and caught them with that ring? 🙋🏻‍♂️...... we have replaced that ring with a Webb one near the handle so you can still sling you lead when it’s not in use and you won’t hurt the dog. Also all our rubberised leads are leather lined for a bit more comfort when handling.

Just to let you all know that we have added a Shop option to the page, to make ordering easier. Over the next few days we will be adding our UK Canine Ltd range of dog equipment to it, whilst their website is been built, as well as the full range of other services that we offer.

SADF Chest rig modification, keeping the original mag pouches in place and adding Molle PALS to each side. All attachment points swapped out for side release buckles and a new H- harness with padded 38mm shoulder straps.
Multicam chest rig, based around the SADF rig but with triple mag pouch.
