About Underfall Boatyard

Underfall Yard is a working boatyard that welcomes visitors. Opening hours are seasonal and, as a working yard, occasionally it may be necessary to close the yard gates at short notice to protect visitors from dangerous operations.

Fancy making your own mini model of an iconic Bristol building? Well now you can! Thanks to WeirdBristol who designed and kindly donated the design, we are now selling these lovely little paper craft Power Houses in the visitor centre with all proceeds going to Underfall Yard Trust.

If you would like to see the launch of Bristol's oldest steam tug, Mayflower will be leaving the slip at approximately 9 am tomorrow. Hopefully the ducklings will stay!

We are open today and will be running our 1907 hydraulic pumps at 12:30 and 2:00. The demo lasts about 20 minutes and the good news is that half of it takes place outside! Come along to discover what powered Bristol Harbour for 103 years.

Float your boat at Underfall Yard! Children and parents are invited to the Visitor Centre next Tuesday or Thursday anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to make and launch their own little boats. Please spread the word to anyone you think might like to come along. Fingers crossed for good weather so we can do it outside!
