COMMON TIMESHARE COMPLAINTS
It is estimated that in excess of 1 million timeshare contracts have been mis-sold to British buyers. The vast majority of timeshare owners are unhappy with their purchases and many feel trapped at being unable to cancel their contract. INADEQUATE COOLING OFF PERIOD

The points system utilised by the timeshare company was not properly explained and inadequate under the agreement to allow them to book an appropriate holiday.
INCREASED MAINTENANCE FEES
The maintenance fees have increased at a high rate, above inflation, when they informed this would not be the case.
NO CONTACT WITH FINANCE COMPANY
The finance was arranged through the timeshare company with the client having no contact whatsoever with the finance company.
HIGH PRESSURE SALES TECHNIQUES
Felt pressured entering into the timeshare contract by high pressurised sales techniques.
MORE EXPENSIVE THAN PACKAGED HOLIDAYS
Informed that any holidays booked under the timeshare agreement would be cheaper than a package holiday when in fact the holidays were more expensive.
PROPERTY DISREPAIR
The property under the timeshare agreement was left in disrepair and not looked after properly.
NO OPTION TO BUY BACK
A buy back was promised after a certain period of time but this was not available.
PERPETUITY CONTRACT CLAUSES
Perpetuity clauses were not made clear and/or in excess of 50 years meaning they are illegal clauses.
