xHP gearbox tuning for the ZF 8-Speed BMW is now available through Unicorn Motor Developments. Currently it supports M135i, M235i, 335i, 435i, 535i Petrol cars. B58, 4cyl petrol and all diesel are due later this year. Pricing is £299 inc VAT which is to have any stage of tune professionally flashed to your car. There is £50 discount when carried out with our custom engine tuning, which will be calibrated to take advantage of the new gearbox tune.
Nearly 9 months of develo...pment and mapping are now being released and pave the way to making the ZF 8-Speed even greater than it already was.
Our maps not only feature basic stuff like removing Torque Limiters and improving shift times, but they substantially change the character of the whole car.
Stage 1 ========= The Stage 1 map takes care of everything you need to have when running an engine tune on your car. If you are plagued by the dreaded 3rd and 6th gear torque limit, but want to retain 100% stock behaviour, this is the map to go.
Stage 2 ========= The Stage 2 map is a massive re-design and lets you access hidden shift programs and gives the driver maximum freedom of choice. We invested a lot of time in reversing the code and unlocking hidden gems. The redefined setup is now behaving similar like in M-Cars where you can freely configure the shift-speeds in 3 levels, no matter if you are in D, S or M mode. You can always select your preferred shift program and combine it with the speed and firmness you like. Off course the calibration is launch control enabled and adds features like staying in Sport-Mode, even with Traction Control turned off. Our Tip: Set your transmission in D+Sport for a totally new daily drive experience! Super-Fast but smooth, combined with an aggressive exhaust note during shifts + a bit of burbles on downshifts.
Stage 3 ========= The Stage 3 map has all the features of the prior Stages, but adds a bit of excitement to your S+SportPlus mode. Put your gear lever into S and select Sport+ with the DEC switch to be ready for maximum acceleration. This mode has only goal: Maximize acceleration and shift like a racing driver would do it. If you are engaged in roll-racing or drive on a race-track, just set your transmission to S+SportPlus and it will take care of the rest and extract maximum acceleration out of your car all the time

what can i say i took my 2014 116d auto msport to rick a couple of months ago to see what he could do as i was bored of how it felt, he fitted me in short notice and got to work he gave my car a full health check and data logged everything as he changed the map parameters to get the best out of the car, when i left with my car what a difference there where no flat spots and the drive was so much smoother my car went from 116hp with 200ib torque to 181hp and 303ib torque and then to top it off my car went into Bmw for some warranty work where they wiped the map as they software flashed my ecu and Rick refused to charge me again to sort my car out so shows you the customer service he wants to uphold, so if your reading this dont go to anyone else as Rick is a top guy and clearly knows what he is doing.

Wow is all I can say so smooth and torquey so much better than my previous map, loving the launch control and just about mastering flat shifting, Rick is highly recommended by me such a nice friendly chap well worth his expertise

Well after a weekend away I have to say the remap on my A5 2.0 tfsi black edition plus was worth every penny. Smoother more responsive more torque even in drive mode and certainly packs a punch. Better fuel economy as well.

Had my Golf R in initially for a stage 1 and DSG tune and was completely blown away. I went back yesterday for a stage 2 tune after having some hardware mods fitted and Rick has worked his magic again - the car is amazing now, so smooth with so much power. He tweaked the tune for me to give me exactly what I was looking for; Rick is so knowledgable and helpful - can't recommend hime highly enough

Had my F10 520D remapped (check photo album to see details). Rick is very professional but more importantly very honest, he knows exactly what he is doing this isn't no backstreet type place. As for my car, well I absolutely love it and if I were you then I wouldn't go anywhere else for a remap trust me or be a sucker!

Had my BMW 635d remapped yesterday 19/10/16 and what a great improvement....car was already a quick torquey car but after 2 hours here the car is Driving like a beast but also still very very smooth just like the car should be, power there as and when you need it. Wouldn't go anywhere else Rick really knows his stuff great work
