University Of Gloucestershire Hockey

Hockey is a Focus sport of the University of Gloucestershire. Not only does the University concentrate on a competitive University Hockey, it places emphasis on hockey in the community as well.

University of Gloucestershire Hockey features both Men's and Women's clubs and supports them both at an equal level.

The Men's side currently have two teams competing in the BUCS Western leagues.

The 2013 /14 season was a successful one for both teams with the 1st team winning the league and gaining promotion into the Western 2A remaining undefeated, and just missing out on retaining the cup for the second year running.

The 2nd team also had a successful year after maintaining their position in the Western 4B League.

The Women's side features 3 teams competing in BUCS with the 1st team playing in the Western 1A, aiming to get promoted back into the Premier league. The 2nd and 3rd team are competing in the Western 3B and 4B respectively for the second year.
2013 /2014 was a cracking year for all our Women's Hockey teams; all remaining in their respective leagues. We celebrate our weekly victories following up with our fun filled, fancy dress socials.
