better for partying in the residence than studying itsself.

Good place lecturers have all been good, new business school building is great, student union is poor and doesn't have much of a presence, sense of community is also rather weak but for studies it provides everything you need

I went there for a meeting the other day. The University city campus is very well located with only a few minutes walk from the train station and from many high street shops.

I studied the Health and Wellbeing Foundation Year, and start the Adult Nursing degree in September. I found the UNI great. the lecturers are very helpful, as are the study skills guys and the staff at the Gatway. If I had a problem, Logging a call on evision was easy and responded to the same day(usually). Loved my year at City Campus and cant wait for September when I transfer to Burton for my Nursing Degree.

Going to this university was the biggest mistake of my life. They do not care about you as a student, you will literally just be a number/ seat. All they care about is the money that they receive from the government. I studied English Literature at the University of Wolverhampton and after enduring two dreadful years, I was unfairly graded by a particular module leader called Rosie. I was humiliated in front of a ton of students while she handed out everyone else's work bar mine and indirectly faffed on about referencing. I had no choice but to withdraw from the university and I retook my second year at Newman university which was the best thing that I have ever done. Seriously consider all of your choices before choosing this university.

I've had a great time studying at Wolverhampton. Uni is never going to be stress free, but the support from people at Wolves is great

16/12/2016 UPDATE: No response from the Interim Head. Constant support of a biased system and procedure where students are discriminated and victimised. No point following the rules the University has set when they don't adhere to them themselves and act on 'instinct'. Apparently the CaAU have the ability to allocate you to a nonexistant module that will not guarantee you any credit to your degree what-so-ever even if the Student's Office confirms they cannot meddle with academic matters. Sent an email stating that I wished my correspondence shall not be shared only to receive 3 days after that my emails where read and forwarded to other people. Cannot even collect information for further study on the topic I am interested in and have to resort to the CaAU, a department that has nothing to do with academia. Ridiculous. If you want your voice to be heard you should seek external action.

I've had recently requested a withdrawal from this place.
They do not care about the students. They consider the Staff first and the student maybe second to last in priority. Staff are sadistic and will defame you to their boss so that you are removed from their topics for absolutely no reason. The higher-ups will make every possible choice to make your academic life a living hell. They will not allow you access to services you are entitled to. They will record your emails and will turn the slightest action of yours against you. Students' voices are not heard, the Student's Union will side with the staff and you will be the one at fault in the end.
They will not even follow their own rules. They will warn every staff not to contact you and they will brand you as 'unhinged' and 'passive aggressive' if you try to complain. The University will always be right, the staff will always be right and you as a student, if you dare disagree, will go through a disciplinary meeting.
Just stay away.

The sad thing is that the lecturers and the educational side of things are pretty good. When it came to the actual studying, I quite liked this uni. The problem is that they do no care about the students. They care about the money. In February I was sent to the debt collectors. Though this is quite harsh to do to a 19 year old student, I came to an agreement and a plan the with debt collectors to get it paid. When I moved out of halls they fined me £372. £300 for paint on the carpet and £73 for the mattress. The problem here is that the paint was there previously. I do not own paint and haven't done since i was 10. The mattress had a mattress protector on the whole year. Even still I agreed to pay it. To then find out I have had the fine added to my debt collection. Which means there is an additional £200 admin fee. At the age of 19 this Uni without any consideration or understanding have put so much debt on me. I have been paying it off and have paid a large amount off my debt but they are not letting me enrol till its gone. This means I can not enrol until it is payed. Even though the Uni is a good place to study, the way they treat their students is not very good. A lot of people from my block received fines and just couldn't understand why. Honestly starting to regret choosing this University.
