Food Items:
... Please note these items are very dangerous if eaten in excess – this depends on the size of your dog:
• Chocolate – Includes Milk, Dark, White, Drinking and Cooking Chocolate. Contains theobromine and can cause death
• Onions, garlic and Chives
• Avocados – the skin, flesh and stone
• Grapes, raisins and sultanas – Can cause kidney failure
• Apple seeds – contain arsenic – large amounts are needed to be eaten but the poison is stored in the body
• Cherry, Apricot and Peach Stones
• Turkey skin – can cause pancreatitis
• Green or sprouting potato skins – freshly prepared and cooked potatoes are not poisonous
• Mushrooms – wild mushrooms that are poisonous for humans are also poisonous to Dogs
• Walnuts and Macadamia nuts
• Tea and Coffee – Caffeine content
• Chewing gum – Contains xylitol
• Alcohol
House hold items that are poisonous – if ingested or inhaled:
