Uplands Primary School And Nursery Description
This is the official page for Uplands Primary School and Uplands Nursery. Please note that admission to Uplands Nursery does not guarantee admission to Uplands Primary School. There is a separate admissions process for the primary school.
This page celebrates achievements and news from Uplands Primary School and Uplands Nursery.
For parents, there are two closed groups - one for Uplands Primary School, and one for Uplands Nursery. Please search for them and request to be added as a member. Each year, members will be reviewed, and those parents whose children no longer attend Uplands will be removed.
Uplands is also the lead school in the Forest Learning Alliance. Uplands was designated a National Teaching School in March 2013.

Year 6 sang beautifully yesterday and, with everything going on at the moment, it felt even more emotional! We're going to miss you, Year 6!
Our Year 3 and 4 pupils performed songs from their Music Extravaganza today, as we could not have the performance in front of families next week. Their encore song, which we recorded, is so beautiful and it was amazing to see all the pupils singing along and having a good time, despite everything going on around us. Go Uplands!
Well done to our indoor athletics team for their 8th place finish in the Finals today. Incredible effort from the team 😊
Our latest newsletter (Spring Term Issue 03) can be viewed here now!
Well done to our Y5/6 @SportshallUK indoor athletics team who qualified for the Finals in a few weeks' time! Thanks @BracknellSSP for a great event and thanks to @BrakenhalePE leaders!
"Thank you to everyone who sent a card and/or gift to me - some of the cards had such thoughtful and kind messages (from both parents and pupils!). Here are most of the cards - see if you can spot yours! Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas break." ---Mr Sherwood
Our KS1 production, The Jolly Christmas Postman, is underway for day 1 of 2! The children (and audience!) are excellent!
What a thoughtful gift from one of our families - baubles for our Uplands Christmas tree with our new school behaviours on them! #topchristmasgift #pupilvoice
Our latest newsletter can be viewed here 👍😊
We had a fantastic time today at South Hill Park (the Wilde Theatre) seeing Aladdin! We were delighted to support our local theatre and the show was amazing! Our whole school and nursery attended 😊
Mr Sherwood: "I just awarded a pen licence to a child who has worked SO hard on his handwriting, and the excitement/joy I heard as he left the room after I delivered the news was incredible - such pleasure and satisfaction in working hard to achieve a personal goal." Well done!
We're delighted to know that the pupils feel our Eco work is having an impact! Thanks to this pupil for taking the time to write and post a letter to our Headteacher, @mrpsherwood, to say how pleased she was with the improvements School Council made #pupilvoice #SchoolCouncil
36 children (6 teams) represented Uplands at the @BracknellSSP Cross Country tournament today! Boys' B finished 3rd, Girls' A finished 3rd & our Boys' A finished 2nd! We're so proud of all our runners - all teams finished below 10th 🏆🏆🏆
Very proud to have Mr Sherwood and our Head Boy / Head Girl laying a wreath on behalf of Uplands at today's Remembrance Service at Sandhurst Memorial Park. A moving service #RemembranceSunday #LestWeForget
Our Hospitality Team in Y6 have been busy washing and drying our new set of cups and plates. We'll be using these at some events to reduce our plastic waste and continue our Eco Mission! Thanks to the Uplands Fundraising Community for purchasing the cups and plates 😊 #ecoschools
Mr Sherwood casting his vote in our elections today! Well done to everyone who stood for election - you were so brave and the speeches were excellent! We all felt very proud of our school listening to your powerful speeches.
We're all ready for the elections today for our School Council - polling stations are set up! Thank you to Bracknell Forest Council for loaning us the booth and ballot box!
We're looking forward to our elections today, held at the same time as our local friends Crowthorne C of E and Owlsmoor. Good luck to all the candidates running for positions today! #pupilvoice #britishvalues
