She made us feel like we were important and only people that mattered yet still knowing what was going on around her and sorting that out.

food was amazing if not spectacular , but me and my mate Samantha both agree she was the icing on the cake who made our night. .

food and her were awesone.

i honestly felt we left with a new friend.

We have become regulars at this place and have NEVER had a bad meal or service. The steak has been amazing every time and the staff really welcoming. My parents have become accustomed to us taking them there every time they come to see us as they love it too!

We had a lovely meal last night. We sat upstairs and it was lovely and cosy. The food was gorgeous and service was excellent. Our waiter was great and made some fab recommendations...look forward to coming again after last nights first visit.

Top quality food and customer service. Took my partner who is pregnant, she either couldnt have or didnt fancy anything off the menu. They went over the road to the sister venue, got a menu, let her pick off it and made it for her. My steak was perfect too !

They left a birthday card on the table too which was a nice touch.

Staff were so polite and knowledgeable, food was ridiculously good, never tasted steak like it and the mac and cheese was to die for!! Well worth a 2 hour drive!!👍

So myself, my fianceé and 2 friends came for lunch as I had won the latest Facebook competition. What a lunch!! Absolutely delicious food and I loved the use of truffle throughout some of the items.

Never before has food brought a tear to my eye. We came for our anniversary, but the ribeye steak occupied more of my dreams that night than my boyfriend did.

Lovely setting all the staff were great very helpful. The french onion soup was out this world and steak and duck cooked to perfection.

Lovely quaint restaurant and steaks to die for.not overkeen on the beer selection but I'm a Manc so would of loved a pint of Stella but thats just me. Would definetly return lovely staff and top notch food

Just back from a fantastic meal at upstairs at the grill for my Dads Birthday. Food was superb and all the drinks! Highly recommend the A-pear-atif as a cocktail. All meals were fantastic, even for a pescatarian- the fish starter and main were so good. A place for all - not just steak lovers! Steak cooked to perfection -chateaubriand �Great service! We will be back! Highly recommend! *****

It was a really lovely experience dining here... nothing was too much trouble and it was so refreshing to be offered tap or bottled water upon being seated. The complimentary paprika bread was absolutely delicious and the Sunday beef roast was so good! All seasonal vegetables were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning

Had a fabulous family lunch today. The steaks were excellent, the Apple pie was the best I've ever had, and the staff were lovely. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Every time I've come to Chester for the day I've always wanted to try this place as it always looked so inviting every time I'd walk past...I finally got to try it and I can say i wasn't disappointed the food and the service was excellent with a lovely atmosphere too. Highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back.

Celebrated my son's 21st Birthday last night at upstairs at the grill..food was absolutely delicious, best steak sharing platter I've had!!..on arrival there was a birthday card on the table, which was hand written which was a lovely touch..The waitress/staff were all so lovely and made us feel so welcome..dessert we all had the Crème brûlée which was amazing, and on my son's dessert plate they wrote happy birthday in chocolate with a candle in it..Thank you all for making this a very special birthday meal.

Celebrated my parents 40th anniversary here this evening...the place is great, food is quality, and spectacular bar/table service...100% will be back

don't usually do reviews but felt I had to after this exceptional meal. food glorious ...staff were extremely helpful and friendly. best steak I've had in a very long time. and that says a lot coming from an Irish person
