What if you could choose the title of a brand new musical and then see it performed instantly ?
That’s what is going to happen to one audience member when the East Midlands’ favourite musical improv team takes to the stage. When you arrive you will be asked to write down the title of a musical that’s never been seen before. If yours is drawn out of the hat, RHYMES IMPROV will perform a brand new, fully improvised musical immediately with no scripts, no conferring, no pre-planning, just totally spontaneous musical madness !

Join us for bingo like you have never played it before !
Our to-die-for glamorous drag queen caller NANCY SAEED takes centre stage for an evening of bingo, with smutty innuendo, double-entendres, gushing adulation, classic songs and fabulous prizes. Be prepared for anything and everything when a line or full house makes you part of the show. This show is not for the feint hearted, nor people with allergies to Abba, dancing in the aisle, glitter or sequins !

Something truly magical happens when people congregate to sing. With or without backing music, the levels of harmonies raise our spirits and nourish the soul. We have lots of organised ensembles of singers locally, with professional groups, faith based congregations, community based initiatives and group singing in the workplace.
Our new monthly Choir Night brings the best of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’s choirs to the theatre’s intimate and immersive stage so you g...et the chance to hear them close up and personal. This month’s choir is:-
CORAH – Founded in October 2017 by its Musical Director EMMA TROUNSON, Corah is a nine voice female vocal ensemble, based in Leicester. Their repertoire includes popular, jazz, light classical and musical theatre styles. Corah’s first performance was a world premiere at De Montfort Hall as part of BBC Radio Leicester’s 50th anniversary concert. Corah have since sung live on BBC Radio Leicester and on BBC East Midlands Today. They have performed at the Fraser Noble Hall, The Venue@DMU and the National Space Centre. Corah are excited by the prospect of a busy schedule in the Autumn, including a debut performance in London. Featuring music sung by Adele, Bruno Mars, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Eva Cassidy & Joni Mitchell.

Created and compered by BBC Slam Champion, JESS GREEN, Find the Right Words is now firmly established as one of Leicester’s best spoken word and rap nights. The show was nominated for the SABOTEUR AWARDS 2018 and includes two nationally acclaimed headline acts, ten open mic spots (sign ups from 7.00pm) and the increasingly sought after speed poet spot. With past headliners including Hollie McNish, Buddy Wakefield, Jackie Hagan, Mark Grist, Harry Baker and Megan Beech, Jess makes sure you get to hear the UK’s top performance poets making the biggest noise in spoken word.
This month we have a She Grrrowls take-over, a feminist poetry night from London, and they’re bringing JOELLE TAYLOR and ESTHER POYER with them.

wonderful arts space poorly accepted and not integrated into the pub well because of a lack of vision by the Landlord sadly

User

We had a great evening in this lovely little venue made all the more enjoyable by the intimate environment and friendly warm welcome from the staff . Can’t wait for another visit

User

Small, intimate, brilliant.

Felt included and involved.

User

Manuelita. Oh my, oh my, oh my......

Just go.

User

Manuelita was fantastic! I'm so glad that I got to see this one night only show telling the story of Manuela Saenz. It was full of emotion and a fun way to learn about a very courageous woman as I'd never heard of her before.

User

Love this intimate little venue for something different to see. Lots of genre to choose from and great friendly staff to answer any of your questions. Will definitely visit again soon

User

Local - only seen 2 shows so far but both were great

User

I got a message from a friend with a link to the official website, more specifically ''Find The Right Words'' After some time thinking I decided I want to read my ''poem''.

I read it. One of the most enjoyable/memorable experiences of my life. The people, the atmosphere, the general feeling of someone actually listening to you (Something that most of us struggle with, I didn't have to struggle...)

It's hard to find genuine interest, which all of you shared without reluctance. Thank you, hope to you see you next time!

User

Great venue hosting some very entertaining productions.

User

Enjoyable night out being entertained by The Same Faces with some very good improvised comedy. A great facility in a real friendly local

User

Brilliant idea for a theatre and a lovely little venue.
