Loyal to Local! What if this Chtistmas you only bought from small independent shops? ・・・ Posted by Holly Tucker on Instagram - It’s that time of the year, where I down my other tools and pick up my most precious. For this is the season my life’s calling comes into its own - to raise awareness of the beauty in being an independent; being small💪🏻 I started our campaign last year #campaiagnshopsmall and I’ll be continuing for the rest of my career. I’ll spend my Christmas seas...on making sure everyone understands the beauty, quality and uniqueness small businesses give us all. That the weeks in front of us, are the ‘make and break’ period of small businesses very existence. I’ll do my very best to get people to vote with their money. I’ll be asking everyone to pull their socks up and support ‘the independents’. It’s essential everyone takes it seriously - like not having plastic straws/bags, understanding the word feminism, what palm oil is, the battle of mental health - I believe that supporting small businesses, the independents, our small shops on the high street and the very backbone of our economy, is just as crucial as all these subjects. So, if you’re reading this as a small business, please share this post with as many small businesses as you know including the new hashtag #campaignshopindependent and asking them to follow me. We’re going to be calling on us all, to campaign together. I need you. I’ve created exciting ways you can get involved and elements, that if we all get behind, we’ll get the press involved and the message properly amplified! If you’re someone who loves small businesses, I equally ask you to share, as I’ll be highlighting some of the amazing businesses and what they produce in the hope it reminds you that you have the power in your hands. What if this Christmas - you only shopped small? To kick this year’s campaign off - I asked the dear and bloody talented @rebecca_strickson_illustration if she’d do me the honour of creating a special piece of art to raise awareness. She was on board in a flash, as she herself believes wholeheartedly in raising awareness of ‘small’ and the power we can all have collectively to make this their best Christmas - ever! Please share away and help us - we need you.💪🏻
