Upwood Holiday Park

We had a pod recently over the weekend of the KWVR Beer Festival. It's the second time we've stayed here, the first time we were in our camper van. The facilities are fantastic and we enjoyed the real fire in the dog friendly part of the bar. Breakfast was amazing too and I was taken aback when Pete specially brought some Linda McCartney vegan sausages for me after I asked if they did them. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We'll definitely be back, thank you 😀🐶😀

UPDATE Had a seasonal caravan here for 6 weeks. We love it. There is a small indoor and outdoor play area for the kids. The pub food (Friday, sat and Sunday I believe) is great value and amazing quality. As a vegetarian I have a good selection of fabulous food (no boring veg lasagna in sight) and my husband loves the Big Pig meal. There is a small beer garden too which is great on a sunny day. On a Tuesday night in school holidays there is a kids disco 6.30-8.30 followed by karaoke for all, the weekends have different things, karaoke, stage acts etc. There is a couple of pool tables, darts etc. We absolutely love it.

We stayed in a pod which were immaculate, after driving down from Glasgow In the snow we arrived to the friendliest welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay especially in the clubhouse. The weekend we spent with the best friends coincided with the steam punk weekend which was amazing seeing everyone dressed up. It is the friendliest Park in Britain with spectacular scenery and the best staff. Definitely be back

Stayed in a standard pod for one night with my little girl for a simple mum and daughter camping trip. Found the site easily and was happy to see it was clean and well laid out. We were welcomed warmly at reception and allocated our pod. My lg loved the park and the indoor play area -I loved the fact I could plug the kettle in and didn't have to put up a tent ! Plus the pub was nice for a drink while I watched my LG play in the soft play. The food looked great value but we had brought our own picnic and mid night feast of course! We had a fab mini adventure together and we both can't wait to visit again soon. Thanks ☺

After staying here on a school trip and having a fantastic time my husband and I decided to come for a week for our honeymoon in August 2016. We stayed in a mega pod and it was fantastic! On the school trip we stayed in a standard pod and even they are fab!
The shower toilet blocks are so clean well looked after, the whole site is very well maintained and fantastic views all around you.
Food on site is superb and the staff are so friendly and helpful!
Would definitely recommend to everyone and we will definitely be back to stay again :)

This site is excellent. The Pod we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and genuinely interested in providing a great holiday experience. Without a doubt the facilities are the best I have ever used. A long hot shower after a days walking in the beautiful surrounding area was well worth 50p. The play areas are lovely and maintained to a high standard as was the rest of the site. We feel lucky to have found this gem of a park and have already booked to return.

Fabulous site ... we have stayed here a dozen or more times now and it is exceptional. The children love the outdoor play area and the indoor area for the kids is perfect. Food is fabulous and the staff cannot do enough to help. Karen is excellent on reception and Ashley keeps the toilet blocks and grounds spotless. Bob is great behind the bar... overall a fabulous time is had by all everytime we stay ... thank you Frank and the team :-) Jackie and Brian x

We recently stayed at Upwood Park and we cannot wait to go back. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the staff and the other people staying on the site. When we found the pod that we were staying in it exceeded our expectations. We were placed right next to the children's play area and our kids loved it. During the afternoon we would go to the indoor play area which also has a few arcade machines, air hockey and a pool table and a good time was had by all. At night we would go to the bar on site for our evening meal and this was definitely the highlight of the stay. The food that was served was really tasty and the portion sizes were massive. You also had a good choice of meals to have and the food was very quick to be served. The staff made you feel very welcome especially Bob who ran the bar. He made our stay so much better and he got our kids involved which they loved doing. It is because of Bob and his amazing hospitality that we will be booking to go back again.

Our first stay in a mega pod. Small but very comfortable and spotless. Fantastic food and facilities on site. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Will definitely return and would recommend to anyone wanting to get a feel for camping.

One of the best sites I've stopped at,from basic camping to shalets.Staff are very helpful and friendly and the pub is great... meals were beautiful.Just returned home and tried to book back for the next day but unsurprisingly there's no availability,cant wait to return.
