What a busy 24 hours it has been in Ursula's Kitchen this week already... A funeral for 40 yesterday with a lovely family who contacted me as they had lost their Mum at age 95 and I also stayed for a few hours and served coffee and tea and cleared up and was part of celebrating with the family the life of their beloved Mum. Such an honour. I got wonderful comments from the guests about the food, especially from the 10 vegetarians, Vegan & gluten-free guest 😊💖 Today I will be baking and decorating biscuits for a client and then focus on the weekend events which is a party for 60 people 😊... Sorry for sending the pictures this early in the morning as it will make you feel hungry 😊💖

Some of the celebration cakes I have been making over the last few months....

What an amazing, busy & thrilling week we've had in Ursula's Kitchen ! It started last week Saturday with : 💖 a 60th surprise Birthday party with canapés, Bespoke Buffet & Flamingo Cup cakes, 💖next a celebration cake for an 80th Birthday... 💖Then a piñiata rainbow cake for a lovely 5 year old boy...... 💖 a Porsche themed celebration cake for a 60th... 💖And to finish the week.... 💖 Sunday : Bespoke christening buffet for 40 in the morning and 💖a Naked wedding cake delivered to York Pavilion Hotel for 120 people in the afternoon 💖 and trays of Gluten Free double chocolate brownie & lemon drizzle cake too...phew😂🤣💖...bring it on! And also I had two of the most wonderful shifts at the hospital with amazing colleagues !! So as they say... ALL GOOD THINGS HAVE TO COME TO AN END.... our 2 weeks 'Europe break' is coming to an end as we are waiting to board the ferry back home to Dover and then the drive to York. Ursula's Kitchen gone in holiday 😊. A week in the land of Sound of music .... arrived in Austria ( near Salzburg)today and the views from our Hotel are breath-taking. We are staying on a working farm and the owners are just so lovely... home from home. Jacuzzi filled with mountain water... getting ready to sample the local food shortly 🍗🍽🍻😊

Loved every moment making this cake especially after being stuck nearly 8 hours in the car driving home from London yesterday .... And today peacefully & enjoyable in my Ursula's kitchen cake decorating for a very Special 21 year old.

What a lovely message from York Parkinson Society's yesterday . Sue Nunn the chairperson held a fundraising event at her house in Strensall yesterday and I was delighted to donate a cake for the event! I received this message: Your cake was won by a lady who was 85 yesterday and she was overjoyed to receive it. Thank you so very much. I would have loved to be there to see the 85 year old ladies face...... This is why I cook and bake because it makes people happy and brings smiles and gives me so much Joy.
