Next time you visit us, make sure to check out the Nine Elms noticeboards over on Bourne Valley Wharf – right across the street from our Embassy. You will find Embassy artwork on them and have the chance to enjoy 360 views of the original art by downloading the “Zappar app”.

Yesterday 6 military spouses took the Oath of Allegiance to become U.S. citizens! It was a pleasure to host our first naturalization ceremony at our new embassy 🇺🇲️

NEWS FLASH! American Airlines have announced a new direct flight from Phoenix, Arizona to London!

We were there to apply for Non immigrant visa to visit my sister in law in USA. Everything went on smoothly. They never asked us for any documents. Just few simple questions about our visit and profession , that was it and they approved out visa Overall good experience . Looking forward to our trip to USA.

We had a wonderful experience it was so well organised, there were so many people there but the whole process was painless. Everyone very polite and helpful we never got to read the books we took with us!!!

A downside , there is no taxi rank there yet so it would have been helpful if we had a Taxi app

Mr Trump, you are very welcome in the UK, just wish you could run this country and sort it out for us, rather than this spineless government that we have. Hope you have a great time.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an Australian who has lived in the UK for 15 years. I write to you in absolute horror and embarrassment regarding the news I read today regarding President Trump's visit to London, that Sadiq Khan has sanctioned a blimp of President Trump to fly over London when he comes to visit.

I just want you to know that myself and many, many millions like me in the UK absolutely adore and welcome President Trump to the UK. I am utterly furious that The Mayor of London has taken it upon himself to rise above his station and pay grade and push his hatred and contempt upon President Trump. It is completely outrageous, disrespectful and not at all in line with the thinking of the vast population.

I am not wise to laws or how this sort of stuff works, but surely, there must be something legally the US Embassy can do to stop Sadiq Khan in his tracks. There must be some law on the books somewhere where the way Sadiq Khan is acting breaks some law. His behaviour is disgusting and I am absolutely fuming!

Anyhow, I just wanted to apologise to President Trump and all Americans for the actions of this complete and utter imbecile of a man.

Further to that, let it be known that should I be lucky enough to win the lottery anytime soon, rest assured, I will be packing my things up here and moving to what I have affectionately monikered the USA to be, Trumptopia! President Trump is a great man who loves his country, loves his people and deserves all the respect in the world.

God Bless the USA. God bless President Trump. MAGA!

Can I just say, please don't take any notice of the disrespectful, privileged, middle class, whiteys who have been protesting against Donald Trumps UK visit. It's just cool and trendy to hate Trump. They're embarrassing.

They do NOT represent the millions of working class Brexiteers who have been betrayed by our own Government.

I only wish we had a leader who was strong enough to do what they promised they'd do instead of selling us out.

Hi, I am a dual citizen South African and British, I would like to apply for a student visa for the US and would like to know what would be regarded as sufficient "ties to country" to improve my chances of getting the VISA, as well as how long in advance should I apply for the VISA as the school starts end of september? Any responses would be highly appreciated.

Does anyone know how to get a banker's check in USD while in the UK? I am a US citizen trying to renew my US passport. I have submitted my application with a US check from my US bank account. Apparently that is not acceptable and they will only accept banker's check in USD. All three financial institutions, including UK post office, that I have contacted have said that they have stopped doing banker's checks years ago and happy to do wire payment in USD (in accordance with 21st century standards of banking), while the embassy insists that financial institutions in the UK will offer banker's checks in USD but do not name any such institutions. Can anyone please help? It is also impossible to reach the embassy help line and to pay by credit/debit card one needs to make an appointment in person and the next one is more than a month away. Any suggestions from embassy staff or people reading this?

We had a 10am appt and signed in at 1001. We spent two and half hours here. We were the last ones to leave. We had all of our documents, in order and pictures and cash. When asked to see a manager, I was told "I emailed him". I tried getting the attention of some of the attendants and no one would get me a manager. Finally at the end, when I can reclaim my documents, the attendant tells me, he needs to see the children. I had been standing there for 10min and clearly frustrated. I noticed that the phone number was incorrect, the gentleman stated that I had to get if fixed at the next window, he then tells me I have to go back to delivery services. I planned two museum trips for my children that day and by the time I left, no one had any enegy to do anything. I have never been to London, and the first time I go..utter disappointment. Never saw a manager. We are schedueled to go on a trip at the end of the month, with the fiasco that we experienced, I am terrifed that we will not get our passports back in time. I went this route because of the outstanding reviews I received, I clearly was not supposed to be able to forward such reviews. It was horrible.

The doctor for Diane Brown may be reached at +four four-20-3322-2186 .

The hospital misspelled Diane Brown as Diana no middle initial.

Royal free hospital Pond ST Hampstead. London where she is being prevented from medication after surgery. She was mugged in London and being prevented from flying back to USA by hospital. Was also denied visit to C S C while they were saying in email that she was not in country. no help for USA citizen.

The U.S. embassy is the most unhelpful and biased embassy I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to many others with no issues.

Be wary when you attend your interview, and try to ensure you immediately present your documentation to avoid it being completely ignored.

I was one such unlucky person, like many others I’ve seen comment here and elsewhere, who had their application refused without so much as a look in my direction. They declined to look at any of the necessary evidence which would have proven the ‘ties to the country’ that they were after, or ask me the relevant questions others were being asked. I was actually told me they’d already rejected my application before I attended.

There isn’t much you can do in that situation, and no one to raise concern with since they directly avoid communications. A vast difference in attitude compared to their Canadian neighbours.

My son applied for a Visa for the US for a summer job. He had is interview and was told all was ok with 3 to 5 days to wait for his visa. One week later he gets an email stating his photo needs updating. He sends a new one within the hour by post. We have a family holiday planned to Spain this coming Friday and no reply from the Visa office. They don't have a phone number and won't answer any email, they have his passport. Why does this need to be so hard?

Inhumane treatment towards children , no matter what their background , colour , where they are from or how then arrived on your doorstep , You don't pull children away from their parents. All you have to do is send them straight back but no you Forrest Gump's what to spend more money putting the parents in front of a court ,, You are twats of the highest order.

I went for an interview today. We planned to have 11 days in Miami and 3 days during this time in the Bahamas to celebrate my daughter's birthday. 3 of us with my grandson. My husband stays in the UK. We live in the Uk for more than 5 years and I work for the same company for 2 years. I was rejected today saying by the officer page that I didn't demonstrate I will return. Decision cannot be appealed but they would take again the visa fee to re-apply.They cause so much loss for people in value and time just to rob them and show this narcissistic attitude.

It is also illegal what they asked from me when and why we relocated in this country? Since I am Hungarian, we have free movement in Europe. I practice my Treaty right so I moved only to another city. The officer and all other colleagues at the embassy didn't seem to have native American indian's background. Shame on you!

I was living in the usa for 7 and half years and I got married and also divorce there. I’m now back in the uk and I’m planning to be getting marry next year and I have been trying to get in touch with someone who can help me get a copy of my officially divorce certificate and no one seem to care, they just gave me the same website vitalchek which I have been on but I can’t seem to get a reply from them about which one I need to order, they have so many difference ones so I’m honestly not sure. I was just about to explain I have been on there, she hang up on me and I tried to call back but got no answer. This isn’t a good way to treat people. . Very disappointed

I have just returned from what should have been the best holiday ever in the States as my graduation present from my mother. I was refused entry at Logan Airport and put on a flight back. I am 22, adopted from China and have entered the US 18 times for holidays with my family and never pulled up for questioning. The first time I travelled alone I was questioned, intimidated and humiliated. I am now awaiting a reply from the US Embassy London and my MP is meeting to this. The friends I was staying with in America have attached their congressman. They say I have the victim of racial profiling.

User

I have completed the I-130 to sponsor my wife and am trying to understand how to pay the $535 fee. The directions don't make sense. Getting a money order from the states will take another ten days. The embassy needs to provide clear, detailed directions that are realistic and fit the realities of 21st century banking. A credit card should suffice.

User

I have been trying to contact the Citizen Service for days. I have now the Power of Attorney for an American citizen and my question is nowhere in the FAQ. I don't know what to do anymore! It must be easier to contact the Queen of England.

User

I am appalled by your country's treatment of those children separated from their parents and detained in camps on your country's Southern border.

The Amnesty International report dated 16 June 2018 says:

“This is a spectacularly cruel policy, where frightened children are being ripped from their parent’s arms and taken to overflowing detention centres, which are effectively cages. This is nothing short of torture. The severe mental suffering that officials have intentionally inflicted on these families for coercive purposes, means that these acts meet the definitions of torture under both US and international law."

I accept fully that all countries have the right to control their borders, but it must be done humanely. I regret to say that this policy and its practice bring shame on your great nation, and I urge your government to stop this cruel treatment.

Yours sincerely,

Jim Lowe
