Did you know that if you have rosacea it can affect your eyes? If your eyes are red, burning or dry, see your optometrist. Treatment is available. Never assume a red or pink eye is an infection. #RosaceaAwarenessMonth

Remember to have a proper eye examination/sight test done at least every 2 years by your optometrist - online tests are not enough. https://youtu.be/SEtScLmo5a4

Got an eyelid twitch? Try cutting down on the caffeine, nicotine and stress. Getting more sleep and drinking tonic water can help also.

Today is #CharlesBonnetSyndrome Awareness Day. It’s a condition that affects visually impaired persons. What the eye does not see, the brain fills in and hallucinations occur - it makes up the story of what’s around. It can be scary. So if you have a loved one with vision loss, please know it’s normal and not a sign of any mental health decline. https://www.macularsociety.org/visual-hal lucinations

Visually impaired children are able to enjoy books thanks to this wonderful local program in Kingsclere. Please consider voting for them and watching the video about their amazing books.

Did you know a child with one short-sighted parent is three times at risk of being short-sighted when compared to their peers who do not have this family history? And with two short-sighted parents, the risk is 6 times! Are you short-sighted and have children? Have your child seen for a proper sight test with an optometrist and remember that school screenings are not enough for most children. https://www.aop.org.uk/…/childrens-eye- h…/why-vision-matters
