Read all about Studio Artist Cinzia Castellano's sculptural vase titled 'Rooting' for our forthcoming exhibition 'Decade'.
The vase is inspired by the iconic 'Great Vine' of Hampton Court Palace, of which an initial cutting was taken from a Black Hamburg Vine at Valentines Mansion.
Last week a cutting of the vine from Hampton Court Palace was presented at the Mansion and planted in Cinzia's vase.

Studio Artist Lisa Elen Atkin finished her largest basket to date and during a quiet spell on a busy open day managed to take some lovely shots around the kitchen and dairy. The Mansion is such a fantastic place for a photo shoot !

* Open Call: SPACE Artist Commissions *
Exciting opportunity at SPACE Studios for an artist to develop a project with older people based in Ilford. The commission will include activity for older people that will inform a solo exhibition – the first to open at the new SPACE Ilford gallery. Application deadline: Tuesday 30 April, midnight.

ArtLab is a collaboration between studio artists Amanda Seljubac and Sadia Ur-Rehman. The artists bring their creative skills and expertise to a series of 10 workshops at Valentines Mansion celebrating the building's 10th anniversary. The workshops beginning in March will explore the mansion and its rich history.
The programme includes a wide variety of art and craft forms including lino printing, tapestry weaving, stone carving, punch needle embroidery and more!
