Our #1000EyeChallenge is well underway. This week we visited Meltham C of E School to carry out vision screening on their reception age children. Many local primary schools no longer offer vision screening to children due to funding cuts. We have decided to step up and offer this service free of charge to our local schools and challenged ourselves to screen a thousand eyes by July 2019.
At Valli Opticians we are passionate about children’s eye care and spend a lot of tim...e in our communities promoting the importance of eye care.
We are campaigning for changes to be made to the Personal Child health Record commonly known as the Red Book to include information about the role of Optometrists and the provision of Free NHS eye examinations and glasses. Our campaign has been taken to parliament and questions have been raised regarding the lack of information for parents surrounding eye care.

Charity fashion show in aid of Macmillan in Yorkshire with Dragonfly Boutique all models are wearing the 2019 Cocoa Mint sunglasses from Eyespace Frames

💥AMAZING NIGHT 💥
Last night we hosted a charity fashion show with Dragonfly Boutique in aid of Macmillan in Yorkshire at The Town Hall, Hebden Bridge.
This was the 3rd fashion show organised by Joanne from Dragonfly and Rachel from Valli Opticians and this was the best one yet!
... Selling out in record time with 120 tickets sold guests were treated to a Summer Explosion with gorgeous SS19 collections from Dragonfly, the latest sunglasses from Eyespace Frames including the new and exclusive Aspinal of London range. Anon Lingerie showcased their beautiful lingerie and swimwear and Element Jewellery provided stunning pieces of jewellery to compliment the clothes.
A raffle with exclusive prizes was held and an auction where guests were given the chance to bid for high ticket items including a weekend break, an Aspinal of London handbag and a beautiful painting by Olivia Pilling.
Thank you to Vanessa Lewis who helped organise the event with us and to everyone who came along and helped make this event a great success.
