Vedanta Restaurant

Went there a week or two ago and pleasantly delighted with the food! Not just boring usual Indian options. Different regions like southern which is hard to find. Great tastes so we came back again last night and looking forward to our next visit

Visited for the first time Saturday night, food & service is absolutely amazing. Menu is small but shows that they are good at the dishes they know. Lamb chop starter & butter chicken DELISH!! I want to eat it all again now! Thank you Will definitely recommend.

Very tasty dishes, both the ocre starter and cheese starter were delicious and the best peshrari nan I'd ever had.

Very attentive service and we took advice from the waiter re dishes. The kerala curry was great.

Tables are close together but that didn't detract from the meal at all.

Try the dosas. The whole meal was beautiful. My favourite Indian hands down

Took a party of 13 here for lunch and was VERY impressed! The food arrived promptly and was really really tasty! Well priced too! I would highly recommend the baby aubergine dish!

Really authentic - chef from Kerala - food from a variety of regions but all freshly made and nicely presented. Good prices and generous portions, so be careful not to order too much food!

I really enjoyed eating here on 15th july. The food (paneer butter masala) is tasty and service is good too. Staff is very attentive. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone.

We had a great experience at vedanta today. Guys keep up the authentic taste of Indian food and this restaurant has a very bright future ahead. Loved it.. and the service is on the dot...very efficient and value for money..will be bringing more customers for sure

Fantastic food. And, you have to try the Birriani - it comes with a pastry topping! Trust me, it works!

Fantastic food, really authentic flavours and good service, restaurant was full (Thursday night) and we’re having to turn people away! � food arrived promptly and there was a good atmosphere only negative is the restaurant decor is slightly bland for my taste. Overall a must try!!!!

A group of us visited on Saturday 20th may, a very helpful waiter guided us through the menu and advised us of some speciality dishes. The food was really amazing and all the staff are very accommodating. Definitely will be visiting again.

Very yummy starters, especially the sundae shaped Chaat was very delicious. The chutneys were very fresh and full of flavours.

We went to Vedanta hoping to eat some original regional food as claimed by their website but what a disappointment!

I ordered dosa(a South Indian pancake)with sambar(a regional staple and favourite from Tamilnadu), what I got was just some lentils cooked with vegetables with no trace of any spice whatsoever that goes into a sambar.

their sales guy came up and told me that he would "laugh at me if I said that was not sambar"

Feeling really annoyed I asked to see the chef,who at least accepted that the taste was not authentic.

My husband ordered a lamb dish which was again just meat cooked in tamarind sauce with no authentic flavour.

I have no problem with the taste of food being served in restaurants as long as they don't make claims to be "authentic Indian taste " and fool people with false promises of original taste!!
