We have been lucky enough to feature this jaw dropping Litespeed Ultimate in the shop for the past couple of weeks and its turned a few heads to say the least. Featuring the soon to be released wireless FSA disc groupset and weighing in at just 8.3Kg its sure to be fast and retain the wonderful ride quality of titanium. Somehow this bike manages to look retro and ultra-modern all at the same time and the matching titanium seatpost finishes it just beautifully.

Having already ridden is far corners of the world Henry set his sights on the legendary globe-trotter the Surly Troll. Granted, the Troll has its own unique style and looks but as a piece of kit to load up and ride off it is the perfect truck for months of independent travelling. We built up the bike to Henry's spec and budget using the best we could. A Brooks saddle and Jones bar make up the perch points and the rest is classic Shimano and Hope components to provide miles of hassle free running. If you are not looking for hand-built wheels we have always been a big fan of Fulcrum wheels as an excellent option. We are now a Fulcrum wheels Pro Shop thanks to I-Ride.co.uk, stocking a wide range of their excellent disc and non-disc hoops. As a wee taster this is a set of Racing Zeros just before fitting to a lucky customers bike. Nice.

Our annual pilgrimage to the CORE bike show always adds some welcome shiny to the dullest months of the year. There are a lot of new and interesting bikes, innovations and simply cracking kit on show this year. This is just a selection of the show products that caught our eye. Expect to see some of this shiny, shiny in the shop very soon.

2019 sees us introduce @NukeProofBikes into our line up for trail shredding and gravity induced grins. The specification of the Mega and Scout bikes is right up there with many of the main brands including those direct to customer. Ridden to glory by @samhillracing the Mega has true race pedigree but also a lot of geometry and design features we like. This close to top of the range carbon framed model is dripping with high end suspension and top end components. Demo events to follow soon so watch our page for events. Riding for the Southwest Syndicate Lawrence is pretty clear on what he wants from and enduro race-rig and the new Compulsion from Felt Bicycles supplied by Felt Bicycles UK ticks all the boxes. Its currently on duty bedding in the trails at Whistler and we can't wait to hear how Lawrence finds his new ride.

I had some race day CX wheels built by Dave. Very informative in my choice of wheels, they have been the perfect build for the job. The wheels have been used for a season of cross and have had a winter of British roads. They still roll beautifully and are still 'singing' like new wheels. Would recommend!

I had a set of wheels built here. Workmanship was outstanding with amazing little touches and priced to compete with all the big boys 10 out of 10 highly recommended with also a brilliant aftercare package which you wouldn't get with the BIG companies.

I came to David and the team to have my bike fit done and mud guards installed, yet they provided much more by fixing other niggles with the bike as well. My experiences have been nothing but an absolute pleasure due to the great advice and service provided. The team are knowledgeable, capable, friendly and humble.

Had my last 2 bikes off Dave, my CX and a hand built beautiful machine. Build quality and service are excellent as is his exemplary aftersales service. Cannot recommend enough!

First experience of velo-smith. David is a genuinely nice guy and it was a pleasure to be pointed in the direction of his shop, I will be using him for my cycling needs in the future and maybe treat myself to some nice handbuilt wheels!!

Dropped my GT Zashka MTB into the workshop. It was given a thorough assessment and David rang me with an honest breakdown of the work required, cost of parts and labour which I thought was great customer service. Considering it had not been serviced for three years the final bill was very good value for money. Great service, good customer care, great value for money, highly recommend these guys

David, I just wanted to let you know I am absolutely loving my new Volt Metro LS. It has given me a new sense of freedom and enthusiasm for getting out cycling as I no longer have to worry about being crippled by painful puffed up knees and I can go further than ever before. It is such fun with that bit of extra zip when I'm tired but I'm pleased that I can also get a good leg workout too. I am getting out cycling much more often now and no longer worry about the Devon hills. I would like to thank you for your excellent customer service and would definitely recommend you to anyone considering buying a bike.

Its very clear that Josh is a bit of a perfectionist, just the type of person you want building your bike. The wheels are a thing of beauty too, clearly built with pride by an expert. Had David's wheel jig not been a bit heavy I would have succumed to tool envy and done a runner with it �.
