Whenever we go to Broad Street we always seem to end up in here, never had a bad night !!! even better now they've opened up the dance floor and moved the Dj Booth .. drinks are a bit pricey ┬Ż7.65 for a dble JD n lemonade so we always try and drink more elsewhere before we get in there so doesn't get to expensive but all in all a brilliant atmosphere and great tunes guaranteed well be returning ’┐Į

Was there in April love Birmingham like my second home although was one bar staff a tall guy who was an asshole and ignorant when asked for a drink gave me wrong drink and walked off ignored me but love the Prince memorabilia

The food was amazing! And great prices, cocktails are delicious and the music was brilliant too! I will definitely be coming back and staying much longer to enjoy the place better! Thank you!

Had an amazing night out (Sat) at Velvet for my managers leaving doo. The venue as a whole and the staff are brilliant. The cocktails went down a treat and once the 2 for 1s finished we hit the jugs. I phoned up in the week see what offers were on and I was delighted when I was told table could be reserved for us. It was a complete shock when we arrived to the area that was reserved let alone the table itself. It was ropped off with balloons, right next to a pool table, which went down well with the lads of the group. Roll on the next night out, will defo return. Thanks guys. Would well recommend to friends .PS a great big thanks to matt who made sure our night was one o remember

Had an amazing evening at velvet bar this Friday ! Our host Ria let us know all the great deals going on, we had foster pints for 1.70 and 20 chicken wings for 6 pound ! It was the best 6 pounds IŌĆÖve ever spent ( absolutely phenomenal)

Only stayed for drinks after the cinema on a Saturday afternoon, nice atmosphere, we had our son with us so ideal with kids on an afternoon

The food was good enough, service was fine, no complaints really, just majorly let down by the blaring football on the tv's and the cocktails that weren't up to scratch. Worth the price. Maybe it was just our bad luck that we decided to eat here when a football game was on but there was just no need to be deafened by it.

First visit to see a band in the Jazz and Blues Festival. Dirty seating and sticky tables. WonŌĆÖt go again.

Went in to watch the Football, brought a Coke which was basically just water @┬Ż3.50, talk about rip off, won`t be going in there again..

Went in on Saturday and they forgot to even make our starter and waited 25 minutes for food despite it being quiet. One of us were finished before the rest of us even had our food. When it arrived it was cold and not very pleasant. The staff didnŌĆÖt care and werenŌĆÖt interested but we stayed because the cocktails are good. We went back on Sunday and spent a few 100┬Ż between the 2 of us. At around 7pm out of nowhere the bouncer came to where the 2 of us were sitting and aggressively grabbed my arm leaving bad bruising. When we asked why and what was going on he said we needed to leave. We asked why and he physically threw us out without an answer. Absolutely unbelievable. We had just bought a bottle and he wouldnŌĆÖt even let us grab it. Even the people in there couldnŌĆÖt understand why we were being physically man handled. So thanks to the bouncer on Sunday night for giving me a week of explaining why IŌĆÖm covered in bruises!
