So 25 cubs and leaders to Northenden. 60+ from a local Church on a family fun day with archery, canoeing and team games and to finish off a family trip to Northenden. On a bit of a weather watch for the next couple of evenings though.

We stop for nobody or anything. Great afternoon in Disley with Beavers, Cubs, Brownies and Guides....and some brave parents paddleboarding...looking forward to next year already....and not to forget 17 down the Tame and 12 down the Mersey.....and then there's Sunday.

60 Primary school children for multi activity day followed by 30 adults doing archery and canoeing around the centre from a local business followed by 24 Brownies to Northenden.....oh yes...and another 22 mixed business family group from Northenden to Jackson's. Good day.

At last a dry and warm DofE. After 7 wet weekends we were due one. This is the other 10 Bronze teams from Altrincham Girls Grammar having an evening in the sun. What a change from their Training Exped during storm Hannah.

Burnage Academy for Boys came again today for the 2nd of the 6 days they have booked for the whole of KS3. Fun kids make up for the rubbish weather

You might not believe me but the weather is improving for Saturday. We have a busy day and there is a chance for you to join us for a morning paddle through the tunnel under Merseyway shopping centre £20, or in the afternoon a choice to paddle the River Tame from Reddish Vale Visitor Centre £30 or from our centre to Jackson's Boat Pub £25. Great evening to have hosted our first event as part of the The Didsbury Games. 9 teams took part in a canoe race, archery score competition and problem solving/team games. All local companies and organisations raising money for Christies. Looking forward to next year already...unless any firms out there want us to run their own mini competition.
