Just picked this up today - new pin for Fellowship

We posted this nearly 5 years ago but all points remain valid so a repost is here!

Today marks the 11th Anniversary of Verity Wealth Management being authorised by the FCA in order to provide Independent Financial Advice to clients.
Here’s to many more years!
We even have cake (not as posh as last years for our big anniversary).... plus no birthday candles although we do have our Verity ones.

When you can’t find the answer you need - it’s great to be able to ask other advisers in a FB group for help and they come back quickly to offer help and guidance and try and direct us where else to look.
It’s a fabulous profession to work in; so many people willing to give their time to help others.

January is a great time to sit down and assess your financial situation, something many people fail to do.
Have you ever sat down and really looked at your income v outgoings? Do you approach the end of the month thinking where did my money/salary all go to? What on earth did I spend it on? One good way of analysing spending is simply keeping a detailed record of what you spend and seeing exactly where your salary goes. There are many apps available to help you do this but ...for simplicity why not try using an old fashioned notebook and pen, recording things each evening if you cannot do it at the time.
Another thing that should be done is reviewing your Net Worth. Some may say I have no idea what Net Worth even is! To put it simply, it is the value of all the assets/cash you own after your outstanding debts have been repaid.
People often think they have nothing of value but in reality when they look around them they do have assets often coupled with liabilities, but have never looked too deeply into their current situation.
Why not sit down and see exactly what you own. It may take a little digging but see if there's anything you can find that you have forgotten about; old building society savings books, pensions, life assurance, shares, cars, expensive jewelry and handbags even give it a go it may be surprising!
Why not spend an hour or so this weekend having a look at your finances, you never know you may get a nice surprise!

New Year - new Premium Bonds Draw...
The first draw of the year only sees one £10,000 winner from Tyne and Wear, with the two £1m jackpots going to a male in Hertfordshire and a female in Cheshire.
Hopefully there will be many others who get smaller prizes not shown on the nsandi.com website.

To all our Accountant friends, good luck this month it’s going to be a busy January as usual no doubt.
