VERWOOD TOWN COUNCIL
There is one vacancy for a Town Councillor in Dewlands South Ward.
The Town Council will, under Section 21(2) of the Representation of the People Act 1985, be co-opting for new members.... Any person who is on the Electoral Register for the civil parish and who wishes to be considered for co-option onto the Town Council is invited to write or email to:-

with details and giving reasons why they think they would be suitable.
Interviews will be carried out prior to the Full Town Council meeting on 24th September 2019 at the Town Council Offices, 28 Vicarage Road, Verwood, after which the successful candidates will take their seats on the council.

The Kingfishers, Verwood Dorset Council will be carrying out maintenance work at the above site between 11th June and 12th June 2019. The road will be closed daily between the hours of 9.00 and 16.00 but it will be open overnight and at weekends. They will be repairing sections of the road. In the current financial climate, the highways service has had to focus its budget on targeting the most damaged sections of road and areas with safety issues. Purple Haze Update Grundon Sand & Gravel have now been announced as the contractors for the mineral extraction from the purple haze site.
There is a public exhibition taking place at the Hub on Wednesday 6 March between 2.30pm to 8pm to answer residents questions and for them to raise issues.
