Meet the team Monday, week two!
Introducing the boss: Luke is the Director, Head Chef, General Manager, any other titles you'd like to throw at him. He has extensive knowledge of just about everything food and drink related. Luke likes alpacas, winning awards and once appeared on ITV's Dinner Date.
Formally working for UNEP in Paris, Luke came back to Leeds to pursue his love of food and drink, creating Leeds first informal fine dining venue, Dough Bistro (now Aperitivo). On...e of the leading purveyors in our industry, Luke is also spearheading the way for better working conditions in our industry, and is often the one out sourcing our foraged goodies.
If you're looking for him, he'll be the one in the colourful socks, often found with a fine glass of red in hand, or running to the gym.

Our talented bar team have come up with many gorgeous cocktails over the past few years, and for Vice and Virtue's second birthday, they'll be bringing back their favourites for the whole month.
This September will see the return of some of the most talked about drinks in Leeds, including the recent Cocktails in the City winner, the Chapeltown Punch.

Meet the team Monday, week one!
Lets take it to the floor. Restaurant Manager Ross is up first! Charming, polite and incredibly knowledgeable, when he's at work. Although he has questionable music taste, he can tell you all there is to know about wines, spirits and cocktails, as well as every detail of the dishes on the menu.
Ross, originally from Dubai, started life at Vice as a floortender, but his exceptional passion and drive, meant he quickly worked his way up to restaurant manager, and is one of the main reasons why Vice won Best Service this year at The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Oliver Awards.

What an experience from the moment we walked in! Went here last Sunday for anniversary! We had the 7 course tasting menu with accompanying drinks for each course, wow! I tried things I would never choose on a menu and everything was amazing from service to taste! Would defiantly recommend to anyone as a lovely treat ❤️ Thank you to the staff for amazing service will defiantly return 👍🏼

We visited here on Friday for my birthday with friends. Amazing cocktails downstairs, and the staff cannot do enough for you. We then had the 8 course chef menu, which was both beautiful and delicious. Would definitely recommend to everyone. I will be returning.

We had the Sunday taster menu and loved it , especially the shared starters orange blossom eclairs and the smoked mackerel course , basil meringues and English strawberries were a treat. Thanks to all for a lovely experience.

We had the 5 course tasting menu in the bar last night. Each course was interesting and tasty, especially that venison dish! We had it with the drink paring which worked wonders. I really recommend this place. The service is also very good and we were looked after brilliantly. Can't wait to go back

Treated as a VIP as soon as we arrived. The team couldn't do enough for us. The arrival cocktails were so perfect and served with finesse. We were seated at a gorgeous window table and the menu was explained. A 7 course chefs menu was absolutely perfect. Each dish described to us with knowledge and passion! The chefs worked silently in the open kitchen, the dishes that they created were tasty and beautiful. We left with big smiles and full tummys. Well done guys for delivering a shared vision, your passion is obvious, everyone needs to come and share this experience you provide.

Me & my best friend had brunch there for her birthday treat & the 5 course taster menu with cocktails was soooooo good! Great service, beautiful venue, music & the food was delicious and I even loved the oyster in tequila with caviar! Couldn't fault it and they even made me different cocktails as I don't drink gin thankyou! Great value for money and highly recommend you to go there! I can't wait to go to the restaurant now lol cheers guys awesome Saturday afternoon! � xx

If the bar in Cheers was a classy cocktail bar, this is what it would be like. From the second you walk in to the moment you leave you're treated like you belong there.

The array of drinks (both on the menu and off) is amazing. There's pretty much something for everyone, and if there isn't they'll endeavour to make it for you.

All in all you can't go wrong by paying them a visit. You won't regret it

Came here on Wednesday for a nice little date night, they do the best cocktails! We had the 5x courses in the bar area, food was delicious, staff friendly and attentive- lots of knowledge on the food and the wine. The courses were served at a good pace and the atmosphere overall was lovely. I would definitely get the wine pairing with the set menu next time (when it's not a work night) ��

Given how great the reviews and reputation of the restaurant has been over the last year or so, the taster menu with wine flight was something we’d been looking forward to for a while.



Unfortunately it underwhelmed. The first 6 courses where cold and relatively bland with the exception of the confit egg and tomato ketchup plate with fermented baby gem and the mackerel dish which was brilliantly full of flavour.



The meat / game dishes were spoilt by the luke warm temperature of the food and again didn’t really hit the heights in terms of depth of flavour.



After a hot and sunny outside they potentially over compensated inside with the temperature of the air-con as the goosebumps testified but again unfortunately it matched the temp of the food.



Although the dishes were introduced with detail and enthusiasm, the experience as a whole lacked the quality you’d expect for £250+, shame.
