OH MY GOODNESS! We are officially into our Wedding week 😱. Time as just flew by. The flipping weather doesn’t look great like, but I’m trying not to let it bother me... yet. (The Kalms are in my pocket!)
I have all important people and suppliers booked and paid, I have some sneaky diy gifts to get done and finally get to pick up my dress 🤪👏.
... Is it normal that I feel a bit sick already 🤢 lol.
If all you lovely married couples have any advice, it would be much appreciated lol.

This lady is amazing. She has make me a very unique cake topper and other awesome goodies for our wedding. I can't share them with you just yet, but wait and see. You'll love them!!

So, last night I met such a fantastic couple. Their beautifully arranged Hand Fasting Wedding was totally written the bride to be. I must admit, the groom had to head off early, but hat didn’t stop us lol. We must have been there for 2hrs, talking about the wedding and Studio Ghibli lol. She taught me so much about Paganism and the Hand Fastening ritual. It was sooooo interesting. This is where, once again, I tell you that “I LOVE MY JOB!” ... To meet new people and learn all about their loves, hates and all that’s in between, is what makes working for myself worth while. I can’t wait for it!

So, I’ve been on one emotional rollercoaster since yesterday.
I had my second to last dress fitting yesterday at @legendbridal, which was amazing. Then me and @lildubois went wedding shopping and organised the car rota for the wedding day. On a mission.
... Then I find out my dad is on his way for emergency surgery for a detached retina, which means he probably can’t fly or be at a high altitude for at least 6 months!!
OUR WEDDING IS IN THE WELSH MOUNTAINS! IN 4 WEEKS! 🤦‍♀️😱
We’ll find out the out come later today.
I also found out yesterday that the grant I was relying on for my rebrand has been declined, because apparently rebranding and upgrading my business won’t give the council a return in investment. 😖 ffs!
One thing I am positive about today is the lovely wedding I’ll be photographing in Rochdale today. Sunny weather and a happy couple. 🤩😍 Hopefully today will counter act yesterday’s drama lol.

Wow so today was ACE! I’ve been to the amazing @fubhub_ today for the second time, and as always, it was wonderful. A room full of business women all having a laugh. What could be better. (Obviously we did lots of networking and business talk too haha)
... I did my very first 10min presentation today. I was a little nervous but everyone was so supportive and they actually seemed to enjoy it too. I’ll be saving it for my BNI 10min when we finally get to do one lol.

Hey 👋 peoples! So... Wedding 🎩👰 photography... It’s expensive 💷 right?! Well, not necessarily. ... If you only knew how much time, work and effort went into it, then you would so appreciate the prices we charge as professional. Trust me, 🙌 you defo get what you pay for.
For example, if you where looking for a 🌷 gardener going for the cheaper offer would get you an unevenly laid lawn. OR If you wanted your living room 🎨 decorated, and you ended up booked a ‘cowboy’, you’d be devastated when they only do half a job and 😣 never come back.
It’s pretty much the same with photographers. You opt for the “great price”, and you get an amateur. Bad quality images, unprofessional. Some even fail to send you your photos.
I’ve heard so many horror stories 😱 about bad photographers lately. I’d love to make sure that this doesn’t happen anymore, but unfortunately, anyone can pick up a camera 📷 and call themselves a professional.
Here’s some advice to help you choose the right photographer for you. It is always a good idea to meet your photographer face to face 🤝, prior to your wedding. Even booking a pre-wedding shoot to see if you are all comfortable together. (That includes the photographer with you)
Shop around before making any final decisions. I alway give my couples time to talk it over before they book with me, unless they are confident that I’m right for them. Don’t forget, your photographer is at your wedding from start to finish 🙋‍♀️, and will be following you around all day, so if you don’t like them, your special day may turn out to be 😢 a little less special than you imagined.
Your photos are for life , not just your wedding day 🤩.

They specialise in Alternative, Bespoke Wedding Dresses. Out of the 5 wedding dress stores I went to, this is where I belong! I knew it the moment I walked into their studio. Since then they I have be continuously overwhelmed by their effort to make me feel special. Even when I think I’ve asked one too many times for a slight alteration, they openly accept and crack on. No ifs or buts!

We had Vicky out for a portrait sitting this morning. Our little girl is teething so wasn’t in a good mood and tipped over and was upset aswell. Through all of it Vicky was patient and managed to get some gorgeous pictures!

Vicky is happy and bubbly and really understands how a dog show owner wants to capture breed type and the essence of the dogs personality.
