We had a lovely stay here with our dog on the winter break for 2 nights, room very comfortable and food was delicious especially the breakfast. Will definitely be staying again. Have recommend it to several people and they all have stayed and thanked me for recomendation

Lovely, clean, quiet, spacious rooms. Staff wonderful, friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic (dinner and breakfast). Would definitely come back.
Have been visiting very regularly for 8 years, though never stayed over in a room. Nice place to meet people and perfect place if you've dog(s). Main bar for food and a restaurant for a bit more privacy Relaxed atmosphere
the starter of bacon, black pudding, chicken and salad was good but could have been hotter. However we were not at all impressed with the "Sunday roast lunch" - the trio of meats - pork, lamb and beef - all three meats were very fatty, quite chewy, the vegetables were cold and just not nice - however the yorkshire pud, gravy, and parsnip/carrots were great (the bacon wrapped around the parsnip and carrot was very fatty) - now I know why we usually avoid the Sunday roast lunch in pubs - on our previous visits to the Victoria (on a day other than a Sunday) the food was very good. Very disappointed !!!
