About Viking Travel

Viking Coaches dates back to 1926, firstly owned by John Lloyd, over the years from then to the present day Viking Coaches have been a prominent feature on the roads of South Derbyshire, East Staffordshire, West Leicestershire and into North Warwickshire. John Lloyd retired and sold the company in 1989, since then numerous companies have owned Viking Coaches, these include; Stevenson Buses, British Bus, Arriva, Travelstyle and Protours, whom changed the trading name in 2006 from Viking Coaches to Protours. In December 2011, Solus Coaches (from Tamworth) bought the ownership of the company and reverted the name back to Viking Coaches, securing the future of the company.

Now into 2015 the company was bought out in july by Paul Garratt & his two sons James and Adam Garratt from Leicestershire. They have since changed the name to 'Viking Travel' and are planning to update the current fleet, while also giving a new look with new graphics being put on the coaches to freshen & modernize the overall image of the fleet. The new directors are now looking towards taking Viking into 100 years of trading.
