would like to thank all the staff and the manager who was working today... a colleague of mine went there today and she was very impressed because one of the people we support has to follow a special diet and they made sure the meal was prepared to the way she can only have it. this is usually a struggle when eating out, but the staff was very accommodating and approachable.

Visited here yesterday on our 3 day trip from Cardiff to Liverpool. Absolutely loved it! Food was gorgeous !! Chicken gravy to die for and staff were very friendly!! Would definitely visit again on our next trip ! My partner and I both had burgers, mine came in a Yorkshire bun with extra meat I was in my elements !! Super happy and prices were great. Thanks! X

I've always enjoyed food in there, the chicken and bacon salad is fab and so filling�I have never had to send food back. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My Grandaughter loves the play area outside too. Would recommend the place to anyone�

Went for the first time yesterday and had a lovely meal. I had the mixed grill and it was good. Finished with the chocolate flake cheesecake which was to die for. It was my first visit but it won’t be my last.

Staff friendly service good, Daughter had burger with beef dripping gravy which was not nice also it was supposed to have monterrey jack cheese that they didn't have but just brought it out anyway not saying .

When we said they did bring grated cheese. Carvery was good but beef and ale pie I have had better.

Nice choice of food service quite quick. Friendly staff. The only negative comment is that the food isn’t very hot and my husband had to send his back to be heated up apart from that very nice

Been here couple of times foods ok main problem every time I have been there is the gate from play area onto main road plenty of young children have ran straight out including my own child. Really needs addressing as it's a danger so close to east lands rd

Scampi was the nicest part of my meal. Chips were Ugh! Peas cold. Carnivore burger needs a gravy as not really a burger made from yorkshire pudd and meat it looked and tasted very dry. Very dissapointed with the food! Wine tasted sour glad i only bought a glass and not the bottle. Staff however were nice and friendly. Great place for families with lots of kids. First and last visit for me and my hubby though.

Sadly, the chipa and peas were cold and the poor pie had been microwaved to death. For the price, it should be a lot better.

We booked a table for 7pm and finally got seated at 7:30pm we ordered our food straight away as we had children with us and that started to come out at 9pm ! When ordering food we stated we wanted the children’s food to come out with the starters which we were told this wouldn’t be a problem and that didn’t happen. There was 19 of us not all sitting together and everyone had an issue with food being cold or over cooked and the staff weren’t interested no costumer service what so ever if you don’t like working with public don’t work in a pub ! This has ruined my grandsons 1st birthday as his mum was upset staff offered to take his cake and light his candle brilliant we thought oh no it disappeared for 30 minutes and after asking staff twice for it which we were told it’s coming now , my son asked for the cake back and we’d do it at home a young lady called Laura got the cake and done it for us she couldn’t apologise enough even though it wasn’t her fault !

Waited an hour for the wrong burger to arrive guy at till didant have a clue what was on the menu, got vegitable lasagna the top of it was hard as a brick and inside was 5 aubergine bits and that was it, Garlic bread was just soggy bread avoid this place it's a joke

The chef is an absolute head case! Went in with a family of 12, he mixed up the orders, there where things missing off the plates and he refused to make more. Didn't have the bottle to come out an see us face to face, instead he just sent the poor waitress to send his messages.

So fancied sunday lunch so decides to try the viking carvery goes bar orders food approached sum guy who looked like he had a hangover then the disaster started the meat was okayish the veg was like it had been battered by the chef the spuds were like cement blocks couldnt even get a whizzer tbrough them took one bite had to google dental ozzy lost half me teeth id advise to take a gum shield and a chain saw the stuffin looked like house bricks cut in half tasted like ass crac the gravy was like pouring newcastle brown over ye dinner the yorskshire puddin i can only describe as being like a spice head from runcorn and the waitress was lovely we ordered our kids ice cream the wafers was that sharp n pointy cud of give meself a shave with it so i wont be returning and the 8.25 carvery will now probs cost me 800 in new teeth id either stay at home have beans on toast than eat any food from here thanks for your disgusting food and lovely waitress have a nice day folks

Omg no body ask me to come for food here ever awful service and we weren’t the only ones that thought our food wasn’t even worth the money. Didn’t know weather to hold a funeral for my burger as it was that cremated or just bury it in the garden

Just been in for are dinner and it was discussing, we got the mixed grill and asked for it to be well done, i must say it was like charcoal all the meat was black and everything was cold.



We've been going here for the last year or so and this isn't the first time things like this has happened but we thought maybe it was an off day but I gess not!!!!



We won't be returning ever again to waste are money on cold burnt food!!!

If I could give less than 1 star, I would do!

Please nobody ever ask me to eat here again... From the hour wait, to the wrong food being brought out & having to tell the staff where the table numbers were, then the right food being brought out cremated but somehow still freezing... What more can I say other than absolutely dreadful! ��

From start to finish it was a joke , some of the party got carvery couldnt even put your knife into the potatoes or veg , complained and they said when fresh stugf comes out they could go again , wasnt much better second time round , waited 2 and a half hrs for burger and chips had to go ask them several times where it was when it did arrive its was burnt , only good thing we got a full refund £120.00 never again would i go there
