Friendly staff, room had basic amenities. Using public transport to get back to the hotel late at night can be quite cumbersome.

Older more dated Village Hotel not to the standard you'd expect. My room was tiny with cables and trunking hanging from the walls. Pool is good and food excellent.

The bed was uncomfortable and you could hear everything going on in the corridor and adjoining rooms to noisy. Nice and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also quite expensive in the bar.

Went for lunch at the village pub. Visited the toilets in the hotel. Not Impressed with either. Both are drab add uninviting. Sky sports volume turned up so loud we could not have a conversation. Whole place needs a complete upgrade/ makeover. Fight by customers outside just about summed up the experience.

Awful hotel.would give it a no star rating if possible. Up on arrival looks nice and it ends there. Room was dirty tea stained side bathroom was dated and had not been cleaned from previous guests, furniture was dated and the bed was like a concrete slab couldn't even stay the night it was that bad. Went to speak to a member of staff and explain that we were disappointed and he said yep we get it all the time you should if read trip advisor. We will defiantly not be returning (shocking )

The hotel is alright. The reception, bar and restaurant are really nice and modern but the rooms are very dated and basic. I have stayed at a few other Village Hotels and this one does not live up to the name.

I was here on a conference. Very good location close to motorway links. Nice room, comfortable seating. Nice food and lovely hot amd cold drinks available all day.

Room was very shoddy, if hadn't got a deal at Christmas it would have been such a massive disappointment. The shower/bath looked battered with chips and dents, the sink had a crack in it. There was one highlight, the TV was excellent with lots of channels. Location is a good half hour from the centre which is fine. Included breakfast was ok but didn't help shake the feeling that the room had been left to rot. Also there was lots of noise from banging doors and people outside coming out of the pub. Lots of potential just let down by lack of maintenance.

Great gym, spa and swimming pool facilities! Love my personal trainer, Lesley, who is firm yet professional and working with me to get me back to fitness despite the long-term health problems I've been facing for 17 months now. Thank you village hotel gym!!
