We found a deal for the hotel, and it was worth way more than we paid, pool and facilities were great, room was nice, wifi was good. The guy at the front desk looked down his nose at us a little, but that's all

A very busy hotel. Have self check-in. Not always enough staff around at busy times. Meeting rooms modern and bright, except for the basement which is dark and dingy and not suitable for meetings which require light. Good projectors in all rooms and easy link to most laptops.

Rely impressed with the hotel rooms and service. Stayed overnight and had a lovely breakfast, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The check in and out process was very easy. Would definitely stay again.

We were a party of 4. 2 stayed in a club room, 2 juyst visited. The room was clean with fantastic facilities. We had drinks in the bar. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We then ate in the restaurant about 9pm. The restaurant was quiet but the service was very slow. We ordered bread to the table which unfortunately never arrived. The waitresses seemed a little unsure about the dishes on offer when asked. When the food did arrive it was lovely. It would serve as a place to eat if you were staying in the hotel but I wouldn't go especially for food.

I often Call hear for Sunday dinner. It's gone back to the old way. Which I liked. 3 course meal for £15 . with help yourself to starters, 3 meat Carvery. And again help yourself to deserts. Only thing missing is a tea or coffee machine. But I expect they want you to call in at there coffee shop in side the hotel. You can't always drink alcohol . If you drive. And it can be a while why you dine.
The staff hear who wait on are young. But seemed to be well trained. As they clear you plates and ask you if you need drinks. On the whole most helpful.

Complacent service. No warmth. They messed up our food order in the pub & were offhand & uncaring. My colleague ended up going without her evening meal because she was so hacked off with the service. Breakfast was no better, even though there were three of us waiting to be seated they just took one of us. After she had cleared the table she took us to, to sit at she left us without explaining where the food was or that we had to go help ourselves. She did wish us a good breakfast twice, which was a bit strange as we had nothing to eat & no idea where to go. Checkin was poor no explanation of where the restaurants were or breakfast was served. Nothing about the gym or swimming pool, no warmth, just felt like a cattle market. Check out did ask if i had enjoyed my visit, but didn't query me when I said "It was ok". Maybe they annoy so many customers that they were happy if I felt it was only OK.

Not sure what the mission of the hotel is. Located in an office area. Huge hotel. My room was noisy although quiet when I went to bed. Walkable to the town centre, but there is nothing interesting there. Did not use the restaurant as it gave the impression it mimicked tgi Friday and I am not a fan of fat food for meals. Ok to start, but you need to go elsewhere for a good restaurant and the town is not giving a good impression from where you walk in.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I used to be a member at the Village Hotel Warrington. The reason why I left was because of the state of disrepair and uncleanliness.

Gyms need refurbishing to keep the fresh feel. The lockers had this treatment while I was there, yet the toilets smell no better than a pub most days and the showers smell like bad drains. The sun shower was never in full operation. When it was working, all the bulbs were not lit. Lastly, the workout equipment was poorly maintained and often not working. For instance, the headphones jack didn't work on all of the cardio equipment and neither did the the heart monitoring.

We thought that we would give the gym another try on an open day recently on a Sunday. We thought it would be an enjoyable day and to see how things had improved. Unfortunately they had not changed one bit.

The changing rooms and showers were the same. My wife even experienced a very messy toilet that isn't worth talking about.
In the gym itself there were weights piled all over the place. It is obvious that they cannot be kept tidy, even if there was a place for them. I genuinely saw a member of staff do a lap of the gym, I assume he should have been looking out for tidiness (on an open day). My wife also tells me that there were staff in and around the changing room also that didn't do enough checks. Clearly more and better training is required, or maybe people that care need employing.

I took photos of the weights piled everywhere however the website will not let me upload them.

Essentially, in my opinion, the £50 plus per month is a premium payment and therefore the guests should be greeted with a premium experience. Currently you are sitting at 2/10 in my opinion. The only advantage this gym has over it's competition, is the Sauna, and it's dark in there. Goodness knows the state of the cleanliness.
