We ate at Villagio Cucina Friday evening, the atmosphere in Birkdale Village was fantastic with the Open Golf Championship being on. The restaurant was very busy as would be expected but the service was 1st class as always the lady that took our order Martha was lovely and very knowledgeable. We have eaten at Villagio Cucina many times we celebrated our sons 21st birthday here and my mums 80 th Birthday too, and have always had good food and service. We will certainly be back here soon as we love this restaurant and all the staff who work so hard especially Lorna, Annalise and Mike.

Second visit already planning our next.

Family get together all ages , staff were great drinks service was quick .

The food 🥘 was purfect I had starter , main and a dessert (we did spend a lot of time there) friendly staff , would recommend this place to anybody .

Just been for a girly catch up and the food/service was excellent. A lovely morning spent with lovely company, great food and good service. Will be back soon

I'm sat here now after having my meal while my girlfriend makes the noises she used to make because of me, because she's savouring every bite of her calzone. Think she'd leave me for the chef if she knew him....

I was here with an old friend that I had not seen for 32 years so our Reunion was at the Villagio. Staff were very attentive and friendly, and we were not rushed at all despite that it was starting to get busy by 8pm. Restaurant was full, food was excellent and we had a very relaxing night catching up.

I visited this fabulous restaurant for a birthday lunch on 15th February with my son. We were staying in Southport and I did a Google search and it came up. As I was driving could only have one glass of Pinot Grigio. I had the sea bream with linguine which was delicious and my son had sausage mash and gravy. Managed an exquisite creme brulée for dessert. I liked the way that it appealed to families, women ordering a second bottle of wine (said with a degree of envy)! and couples. Would definitely come here again when visiting Southport and try the different gins.

Have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. We've had Birthday celebrations, Anniversaries, Mother's day celebrations or just dropped in for a quick bite. Staff are helpful, friendly and polite. Food always great. Would definitely recommend trying here.

Had my 50th Birthday here a few weeks ago. Food and atmosphere were fantastic. Writing this review sitting outside having just had lunch and a glass of wine. Highly recommend coming here

Great atmosphere, lasagne, pizza, vegetarian meal for one of our friends and duck breast. We were all delighted with our choices. The desserts and the wine equally as good. Will definitely be back.

Called in late Saturday afternoon for an early tea and enjoyed a beautiful meal that hit ALL the right spots. A lovely restaurant with excellent attentive staff. Have enjoyed a number of meals here and each has been first class. Clean tables, great food and excellent surroundings, what more could you ask for. Happily recommend Villaggio Cucina to anyone who would like to experience an enjoyable meal �

A regular haunt. Always a good atmosphere in here. Food is excellent for the price and some nice wines on the menu again at very reasonable prices. Staff friendly and attentive on the times I've eaten there.

Lovely food , the lasagne was delicious & my chicken salad was yummy

Food was lovely but it was very noisy to the point we could not hear ourselves speak also staff were very busy too busy as we ran out of drinks had to find a waitress for dessert and went elsewhere for coffee

Food was lovely and very quick out, however the staff could use some work, too busy chatting to check on our table and when we came to the bar to order our own drinks we were handed a bill instead, took our custom elsewhere. Ps a smile never hurt anyone

Went for a hen party meal An was treated appalling ! Ordered the duck bare in mind it's £21 and the waitress asked me how I'd like it cooked. I then said pink please. .. when my meal finally came it was very well done, I explained I couldn't eat it as I didn't like it like that An asked for it to be pink. They then rudely took my plate away An another half an hour passed I asked when my meal was by the point all the girls had finished there food! They then brought me completely raw duck an I was just disgusted. Somewhere that I use to recommend an go a lot. Now I wouldn't go again !
