Wonderful staff and a beautiful setting
Went for bottomless brunch yesterday with 3 other friends and the staff were amazing. Very quick and on the ball. David made our day too he was very friendly and quick and helpful
We had the prosecco brunch yesterday and I let them know it was for my mums 60th. We were fully topped up with prosecco for the whole two hours and the food was lovely. They then bought my mum out some truffles and a candle with happy Birthday on which really topped the whole experience. I would recommend to anyone. Staff were lovely also. Thank you!
The waiting staff couldn't be more friendly & attentive & unlike other free flowing events I've been to, didn't have to be asked or reminded to refill our glasses. A real pleasure and although fairly expensive at Β£10, one of the best bloody Mary's I've ever had (once you'd chosen your choice of free flowing drink from the 3 options, you couldn't deviate & I wasn't up for 2 hours of bloody marys!). A good choice of "main" courses too, can throughly recommend.
I booked the bottomless brunch for me, my mum and my sister for my sister's birthday. It really was bottomless!! Our glasses were constantly topped up by the friendly staff. The food was delicious too. We will definitely be returning and recommending Villandry to our friends and family.
I absolutely love this place, perfect place to meet up with friends for food & drinks, staff are amazing, glass always full with bubbles οΏ½ will be back with the girls in the new year οΏ½
Four of us had the bottomless brunch yesterday ......what can I say .....excellent ......speedily showed to our seats very friendly waiter helped with our menu selection. Our glasses were continuely topped up with processco and also our water glasses by a very friendly waitress . Wasnβt rushed out just politely reminded that the table was booked from 5 for the next sitting bearing in mind we had been there since 2!! Could not fault it and would thoroughly recommend it . My daughter who has been to many such brunches said itβs definately one of the better ones . Well done Villandry will definitely be seeing us again
Excellent place excellent service and excellent staff
Looking forward and Infact planning for one more get together soon .
Best Mojito I have ever had! Lovely location, friendly and polite staff, pleasant atmosphere....did I mention how good the Mojito was?!
An incident happened which was nobodies fault with a hen party there.
The staff were incredible with us as paying customers and couldnβt have been more apologetic for the behaviour of others.
Service was second to none.
Would recommend anyone to go for a relaxing drink.
Thank you to all at Villandry Grand Cafe - St James.
Went for the bottomless brunch yesterday. I wasnβt drinking alcohol but my friends glasses were enthusiastically topped up. I had a pastry coffee scrambled eggs and smoked salmon followed by some little cakes which were delicious. I thought Β£25 was a bit expensive for that but if you also have the prosecco Deal then it seems quite reasonable. Lovely place and very friendly waiters. I would go again.
Had a lunch here over the weekend with my Uncle, food was good, could've been hotter though. The waiter (Julian, I believe?!) was fabulous, really friendly and kept topping up our glasses without us even being aware they're half empty! I'd say I would return, however, when in London, one must try different places!
Went yesterday for bottomless prosseco brunch staff were friendly and prosseco was defiantly worth the money very very rushed literally had our pastry main and dessert within 25 minutes then was left to sit for the rest of the 2 hour sitting with nothing would rather it was spaced out a little bit food was good lacked atmosphere but some people may like the calm I prefer a bit more buzz overall nice and would go back
Great location, lovely deco but ordered burger and fries, took some time to come. Fries arrived cold so had to wait for more fries, mean time burger got cold. Mean time my partner had almost finished her meal. Not impressed !!!
We thought the unlimited prosecco was briniliant every time the glass got half empty/half full they were rushing over to fill the glass . Very attentive in that respect. Unfortunately I really wasn't impressed with the food , the courgette and sweet corn fritters were so dry ! Really disappointed .
Very poor service yesterday - very very slow & didn't even receive all our food (despite asking multiple times) & yet they still charged us for it. To be fair, when I complained, they removed that item & gave us 20% off the bill, but I'd rather pay full price & receive good service.
Booked a deal for Premium Afternoon Tea - I'm not sure what was 'premium' about it. 3 small unimaginative sandwiches, a large 'hard, dry' scone, selection of bite size cakes (the best was lemon π meringue pie). One warm pot of tea, no sugar on table, no servers in sight and one glass of Prosecco which was not refilled. A disappointment..............
Ambience and staff were great, food tasted lovely when it did eventually arrive... it took an hour for the food to arrive which I fail to understand when it was practically empty on the ground floor. Whether it was busy or not, it shouldn't have taken that long.
We had a meal booked at your grand cafe yesterday paid for by our daughter for my husband along with the threatre .
We were very disappointed in the choice of menu , we even offered to pay extra for something off your other menu but were refused which did you no favours as you would have gained from it.
My husband couldn't eat nuts or fish so was offered a ceaser salad as an alternative but all he got was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with a sprinkle of croutons and parmesam cheese . A proper ceaser salad has chicken and bacon pieces and a different lettuce. (Our daughter is a chef) my husband found a hair on his plate and the waiter said he'd let the kitchen know. Really ? That was it.
My husbands dessert salted caramel chocolate slice was disgusting , the waiter never asked how it was knowing he'd left it bar a mouthful he had.
We didn't have the wine but wasn't allowed water instead , we had to pay for it.
We are absolutely disgusted at not being offered anything due to finding the hair even the water or free potatoes and chips we bought as sides.
Not impressed at all of the overall meal and lack of respect to your customers.
I got an email from a person called Georgie who said they'd reply if I sent over my email to discuss your bad service but i've not received anything. Again got a message they'd reply when they got home but still waiting on a response from them this was today.
