Insulation is a key word with cold weather, see below a hot water pipe which did not resisted the negative temperature.

Because of the freezing weather boilers may not work due to their condensate pipe being frozen - this is the white pipe that’s comes out at the bottom of your boiler. If you boil the kettle and carefully pour the hot water over the white pipe this should defrost any blockage and get you up running. Ensure to add some insulation pipe too to avoid the issue to happen again.

This morning an elderly couple rang with water coming from the ceiling. They have no heating or hot water. I cannot use my van ❄️❄️❄️❄️ so I am loading the family car for this call out.

TIP - If you are experiencing issues with the tap water regulator think discussing replacing the tap cartridge with your trademan. Cheaper fix, it may be all you need for a tap second life 👍

Intrigued by some exterior noise while visiting a client I saw an helicopter 🚁 departing on the field across the road. I wished my son was with me he would have loved to see it.

Unlucky client drilled into heating hidden pipes under flooring in a bedroom while undertaking some refurbishment. Be careful, pipes are sometimes in very awkward places.

If your heating is not as effective as it should be, you may be is a situation where sludge and loose metal in circulation reduce the flow in pipe. Easy solution, clean installation and fit a magnaclean to attract this "metallic mud" - it will clear your system

I did a repair on the oldest tank I ever had to. Can you believe it 1964 .? 😱 the repair was actually on the fittings and not the tank

When we lived in France Vincent completely replumbed all 4 bathrooms in our large B & B. We wish him luck in his nex business in UK and would certainly recommend his work.

We wanted a new socket putting in our living room, called Vincent and arranged a date for him to come and look at the job, he arrived on time, very courteous, gave us a a very reasonable quote which we went with, on doing the job again he arrived on time, and got straight to work, on doing the work he worked very cleanly and tidied up very well once the job was complete. We have other jobs that need doing and will definitely be calling Vincent, very happy with him and his work.
