So this is what the last two shows feels like - it's not a chore at all! http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

The Chore of Enchantment challenges the audience: a sort of meta-meta-show about theatre, magic and the way we build meaning in our lives, specifically when so much seems to be coming undone around us... and its largely comedic. There are only 3 more shows left: today, Sunday, Monday! Underbelly, Bristo Square http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

Great to have the show captioned yesterday by Claire Hill. So intrigued to see 'shortcuts' to long words and expressions, the whole show mapped on a single a4 (detail in the pic) Final few un-captioned shows Fri-Mon http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

"He’s cutting against expectations which is a risk. In a larger venue and with folks maybe anticipating something traditional, he’s definitely not that..." http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

"It’s clever and dry, with the comedy slickly following the same rhythmic patterns as the magic." Total Theatre Magazine https://youtu.be/XTOAFF70Xys http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

"Gambini is a softly spoken, drily amusing performer, continually drawing attention to the mechanics of what he's doing while pulling off some impeccable sleight of hand" The List Final few shows! 17.45 http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

So, following the first 18 shows at Edinburgh Festival Fringe Gambini warms up for the last week of this run. Still largely comedic, The Chore of Enchantment also challenges the audience: a sort of meta-meta-show about theatre, magic and the way we build meaning in our lives, specifically when so much seems to be coming undone around us... There are 7 more shows, 21st-27th August, inducing a captioned performance on Thurs 23rd August. Come by! Underbelly, Bristo Square, Dairy Room. Tickets: http://bit.ly/GambiniChore

Great audience Fringe review here: "Original, insightful and funny, this isn’t your usual magic show. Offering up an imaginative script and thoughtful delivery alongside some impressive sleight of hand, this innovative blend of theatre and magic will keep you guessing until the end." https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/cho re-of-enchantment
