The service team are friendly, welcoming and honest. They always try to help, and will try to squeeze you in even if they're patently busy. Their advice is given freely, and from the perspective of a rider - and is not patronising to the inexperienced, nor dismissive to the ill-informed. My bike is relatively old to be serviced at the dealer, and they always take this into account with the service they offer. Highly recommended.

Thank you Vines for looking after my bike yet again today and going the extra mile. Thanks to all the team and to Darren for listening to me moan. The keyless is working great and now a happier GS owner. Great and friendly service as always.

Only ever had a good experience with Vines of Guildford even back in 1998 when my local dealer closed and Vines were my only Choice at the time living in Kent and I said that if only I lived close I would use Vines.

Since then I moved to West Sussex in 2015 so Guildford was my first choice even though I had a closer dealer to me as the ride from my house to the garage was what biking is all about great roads from Chichester to Guildford.

You will see on the Facebook page that I'm the guy that picked up my new K1600 GTL and rode it down to my new home in Spain.

It was planned that the bike would have been ready earlier and I would have had it shipped down with my furniture, but unfortunately the build was later then expected.

So my salesman David Hollinshead arranged for me to be picked up from Gatwick Airport, then I rode the bike back to Spain.

I was getting around 180 miles on a full tank which was about right to stop and stretch the old legs and have a coffee each time, not sure what the fuel consumption will be after I've had it serviced as I've kept it in the 4 to 4.5 thousand rev band which was still taking me over the legal speed limit at times. �

This is my third K1600 my first was the GT model which I had for 6 years and I used that for my photo piloting job when I was carrying the official photographer on the cycling Tour of Britain. I carried this big photographer lad for 2 years as no one else would carry him but the K1600 was more than capable of carrying heavy weights including all of his photography equipment.

Since then I'm now a professional live tv camera pilot, working all around the world and I get to ride lots of different bikes but my heart belongs to the BMW range. �

So my GTL will be used to take me to different parts of Europe and to most of the Spanish airports were I can leave the bike for free, result all round I think haha. �

Love these guys. Always looked after me, great service, awesome bikes and amazing after care. They have gone the extra mile several times for me.

I've been going to Vines off and on since 1996 when I bought my first BMW bike from them and pretty much every 2 or 3 years since for a full service in between DIY services. Always had excellent service from them and it was no exception on this occasion, when they got me out of a deep hole, when the exhaust studs sheared off on my R1150GSA.



I'd decided to take the exhaust headers off, so as to give them a really thorough clean, de-rust and polish. The studs had probably not been undone since the bike left the factory 14 years ago and having rusted solid and seized tight, despite copious amounts of penetrating oil, they sheared off when I tried to undo them - BUGGER!!



Chris the bike technician at Vines, did a grand job drilling out the seized studs and fitting new ones (sounds easy, but it's a right pig of a job to do as a home mechanic with a basic tool kit).



Knowing that I'd be taking the exhausts straight off again to do the clean up job that had started the whole sorry saga, he managed to save the old exhaust gaskets and re-fit them as a get me home measure, saving me about £35.00 by having to only buy one set of gaskets, for when I put the exhausts back on again after cleaning.



The final bill wasn't too bad at all and needless to say I'll be saving all my "awkward" jobs for Chris in the future - Top Man!!

I attended the Vines Motorrad New Season Launch at Newlands Corner on Saturday the 25th of February on my BMW (a 2007 R1200RT) having made the journey from Worthing in West Sussex.

My bike rode there without issue, I had a wander round the new bikes and spoke to some of the staff and then as the weather began to turn I decided to head home. Unfortunately, my bike had other ideas and much to my embarrassment refused to start.

The staff from Vines could see I was having trouble and came over to assist. They pushed my bike under one of their canopy’s and started checking the bike over for me.

They added some extra fuel for me just in case my fuel gauge (bike was showing one bar left on the gauge) was playing up and checked over various connections to the fuel pump but sadly the bike still showed no signs of life.

Without hesitation, the staff offered to load my bike into their van, take it to their workshop in Guildford and sort me out with a loan bike so I could get home. An offer I was incredibly grateful for so happily accepted. I left Vines at Guildford an hour or so later on one of their brand new R1200GS.

Today (Monday the 27th of Feb) I received a call from their workshop explaining that the electronic control unit for the Fuel pump had died, I agreed to the quote for the work and they have extended the cover for the loan bike they gave me as the parts have to be ordered so I should hopefully get my bike back tomorrow.



All in all, I’ve received a fantastic service and can’t thank the staff at Vines enough for their help so far. If anyone at Vines does read this review, please pass on my thanks to your team.

After completing the "Rookie to Rider" course and picking up my new G310GS I am over the moon with the buying experience both before and after delivery. I highly recommend my sales executive Emily Godolphin as she was great throughout and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and had chosen the right bike.

OK I visited the shop /showrooms, I was impressed with the quality of motorcycles they had. One delight the staff ask if I wanted a real coffee, nice. The hole experience was very good. But you had to wait your turn!! Why, there was only two staff on one, man on parts counter. O we'll we can only dream at this stage, Thanks Vines Guildford,
